I honestly can't imagine this resolving any other way. like it could have been stretched out over multiple chapters but would that be better? condensing everything into two chapters of setup/payoff works better than trying to turn every joke into it's own chapter

Would that be worse to go just an extra chapter or even just a page or two more? I just felt it ended too abruptly (literally one panel to the next).
