i fucking hate aurora. i genuinely dont know if the author is trying to have us like her or hate her. But i just cant stand how ridiculously stupid and arrogant she is. She really believed her swooping in and kicking her sister out of the royal court would make her feel good? She truly was so arrogant to think that her word alone would sway the prince, when karina's could not? My god i just can't stand her

excellent writing, 10/10.
Karina's extremely low self esteem has been acknowledged in the past believing that Reshtoka is only interested in her because of her "princess" like demeanor and appearance. Note that she looks like shit because she's constantly depressed, having night terrors, and in general having a bad time. In addition, Karina has also pointed out Reshtoka's proclivity for running off without telling her anything, making her feel abandoned.

This is not new information it's just a compounding of what's she's been dealing with.

She also feels like she's the subject of rumors and talk. Things that remind her of the toxic atmosphere of the capital. It's not unusual for her to want to run away from it.

In regards to Aurora, the reason they're even staying near the castle is because Aurora is emotional and wants to be in her thoughts about Karina. So of course she's going to be going for a walk reminiscing. If you want to get up in arms about how no one was watching her just consider that Aurora was on watch or something. It's not like any of them thought she was being hunted. It's part of the reason she only brought one guard to begin with.

People in this story act like people. Try to read it better.

fuck this, the backtracking and "0h no i did it for your sake, I'm actually the victim" shit is SHIT. there is no salvaging this story unless aurora gets torn limb from bloody limb, and we all no she's going to get off scot free. I've lost interest in this.

aurora was doing nothing.
the assassins still reached karina.
karina has been condemned for being a witch by royalty.
aurora's only contribution to that is gaining a reputation for being merciful against an evil villain, which benefits only her as the future queen consort.
so far, she has only been doing things that benefit her.
for saving her sister, you have to look at reshutoka instead.
And if Aurora had not intervened and had Karina exiled, Karina would have been executed and never have met Reshutoka. THAT is the true cost of Aurora doing nothing. Without Aurora, Karina would never have met Reshutoka, the only person capable of actually doing anything to remove Orlando.

you are completely dismissing that karina was being chased by assassins from the start. those were not stopped by aurora, but by reshutoka.
have you forgotten chapter 1 and 2?

So she ousted her sister from the throne after it was forced on her, just expecting Karina to understand why she got the boot and be grateful? No wonder Karina thought everyone was out to get her. No one never gave her a choice...

It wouldn't surprise me if when Aurora and her party run into Karina that the prince would suddenly show up with a group of soldiers and surround them causing Karina to further think of her sister as an enemy
I actually want the prince to show up as a possible threat... Since it feels like that'll be the only way for the plot actually address dealing with him. At least considering how Reshtoku is focusing her attention primarily on Aurora rather than both her and the prince.

Excited for the next chapter. I’m sure Karina will be able to intervene in time and we will finally get to see their efforts of reconciliation.

Thanks for the translation!

Okay, I skimmed after watching a video, but is this yet another story where the whole problem would have been resolved if the person who loved another person would simply have talked to them?

I'm just trying to wrap my head around how absurd the plot is. 1) Aurora never talked to Katrina to explain what she was doing. 2) Aurora destroyed Katrina's reputation in order to get Katrina away from the prince... yet didn't think about what that would do to Katrina's life afterwards? 3) Goes to her sister's castle, completely rearranges the interior while the sister is away, not considering that wouldn't piss her sister off.

Okay, and logic... Wolf people live comfortably in the snow. Their "comfortable home interior temperature" would probably be around 40 deg F. Katrina would be physically miserable, and prone to disease. Also they eat their meat raw? There are reasons we don't do this... parasites (worms, etc.).

This isn't love. It's one-sided obsession (from multiple people). If Aurora loved her sister that much (in any normal way), they would have spent a lot of time together, talking, giggling, playing games, reading, studying. There would have been two sided affection, and both would have known how the other felt. ... And then this whole stupid plot never would have happened.

You're complaining about the logic of background details which are in the background.

Eve even says this chapter she supposes that wolfkin are just built different to be able to eat raw game. Karina's been with the wolfkin for over a year there's no way they're not giving her jerky or cooked meat at this point.

why did you quote me but leave out 90% of my comment?
i have been reading unlike you, and in the previous chapter, the same poor victim princess told her future wife to fuck off.
and now she's playing victim.

right.

My concern wasn't just about Katrina, but also about the Wolfkin. Even the Wolfkin should be susceptible to parasitic infections. While animals are generally better built to handle raw meat, they are not immune to all risks. And there is limitation to the raw meat the they can consume (most are primarily geared for fresh raw meat, though others (e.g. vultures) are geared to handle rotten meat). Wolfkin, presumably active hunters rather than scavengers would be limited to fresh raw meat. (But again, still susceptible to various parasites.)

The author threw in the bit about them eating raw meat to make them more beastlike. But it doesn't really make sense.

And yes, I'm nitpicking on this one point. The bigger point is the absurdity of the "love, but zero communication" in the story.

Finally confirmed that Aurora actively planned to separate Karina from the prince to save her 😭 but man did it backfired💀 but also nice bc it paints a clear picture that she HAD to do something least her sister bear all her burdens again

I don't believe Eve has any fighting capacity so praying for her bc she doesn't stand a chance against Reshtoka 😭 also, would be very exciting if karina just ended up wondering there and like still mad asf but won't let reshtoka kill Aurora

Why the hell did the Prince send assassins in the first place?
It is probably the same reason the kingdom wants to remove Karina from their history.

Tho still unclear if it was bc her reputation was really(allegedly but still bad for the royal image) that bad or if she knows something she shouldn't and tainting her reputation was an excuse to kill her. Like, is still so sus(and bizarre) to me that whatever she did while princess-in-training would be so bad as to want her removed from everything

ah, of course, the good old "I had GOOD REASONS for betraying you"
fuck off

I don't think it's possible to salvage this shit
might be the biggest case of wasted potential and utter self-destruction in manga
Agreed 100%, what is it with GL series that just fucking completely flops like this :shamihuh:
Started with a decent 1st ch and has GREAT ART but each ch it keeps getting worse and worse man :aquadrink:

I have zero idea as to how the author can event remotely recover this series because I have zero hope :fml:

Feelsbadman cause I really liked the art in this series :angery:

I know its not going to happen but I hope Reshtoka kills Aurora. Aurora is really pretty and we learned her intentions were good but I just can't seem to like her.

She should take the body to her village and have a feast? They are a wolf clan living in cold mountains all year, don't tell me it wouldn't make sense :ROFLMAO:

Seriously, it's like the most inconsistent thing in this series for me and it's blaringly so. Like I can see the Prince being enough of an egotistical asshole (which he is) to want Karina killed. But he seemingly backs off at Aurora's request... at least until Karina does something to draw his attention... And it's like why?

Either commit fully on killing Karina or just give up for good.

I mean, I can wager the 'why'... but I'd hate for it to be the case because then it would mean we'd have spend more time on the Prince.

And it's not just him, but also Karina, and by extension, Reshtoku that's inconsistent. Like why target all hostility and anger towards just Aurora and not Orlando. I mean I can understand if Karina actually loved Orlando, but she doesn't, so there should be no reason for him to not be a target.

I swear if this goes the route where Karina and Aurora reunite and Aurora reveals she had nothing to do with the assassins, and that she tried to stop Orlando. Then Karina forgives Aurora and thinks that Orlando had to be the culprit, only for Orlando to show up with a bunch of soldiers with the intent of killing Karina; I'm calling all of them dumbasses (except Eve, Eve's lover and the orphans they take care of, and Ciel).

Oh my gosh, what were pages 19–20 even about? Bro really thinks she's Lady Karina. Stop acting like you're the saint here.

Aurora somehow only knows how to speak when she can sound noble in front of other people. Funny how that works.

You recovered from your "illness" on the exact same day Karina left the house? Wow. What a coincidence.

You could've explained everything to Karina from your own perspective, but no. Silence. Again. Then you suddenly become all righteous once everyone else is watching.

And don't even get me started on the parents. Their greatest contribution to this family is applying pressure while doing absolutely nothing to solve the problem.

At this point, I'm not even sure who frustrated me more.
