bro, if this was a Boruto opening, it would break the internet... just imagine
nah, whoever gets the slot gets it, just thought i'd point it out. we got this for the 100th submission which i gave a 6.2Also damn I’m sorry to be a disappointment with that 500th slot
Hall & Oates is one of the only artists i have a dedicated playlist to. they have such an amazing discography.
5.9/10, i feel that a lot of these English covers of moon rune songs translate the lyrics too 'exact' if that makes sense, and as a result they sound somewhat stilted or unnatural as English sentences
I didn't know about single version, Now i do know about it and I also like it moreHall & Oates is one of the only artists i have a dedicated playlist to. they have such an amazing discography.
i noticed you sent the 'video mix' (/original album) version of the song though, while i heavily prefer the single version. were you to have sent the single version, i would be truly impressed. but now i'm only moderately (impressed, that is).
Hey bro, it's been a time. Found this song recently and i'd like to share it
did AI write these lyrics? they're incredibly bland. i don't think a song necessarily needs good lyrics to be good, it just needs to not have bad ones. it still has more substance than the yeemz song (low bar though). 5.8/10Edit: i also want to see your impressions on this one
on which part of the spreadsheet? if it's about the adjusted score, i only mentioned how it was calculated on page 40:@bigtiddyoneesan
my math is not mathing
it's basically meant to weight 'consistently good' submissions, and will also give a boost to users with more total submissions. maybe i'll paste the methodology on the sheet as well.Now for the question I'm sure you're all asking yourselves: how is the Adjusted Score calculated?
The methodology is as follows:
For each user with n ≥ 5 submissions:
Adjusted Score = x̄ − t(0.90, n−1) × (s / √n)
Where:
x̄ — the arithmetic mean of the user's ratings
n — the user's total number of submissions
t(0.90, n−1) — the critical value of the Student's t-distribution at the 90% one-sided confidence level, with n−1 degrees of freedom
s — the sample standard deviation of the user's ratings:
s = √[ Σ(xᵢ − x̄)² / (n − 1) ]
The final adjusted scores are rounded to two decimal places, and ties are resolved via standard competition ranking.
Please keep this in mind when submitting songs in the future.

and if you weren't referring to that then be more specific next time. vague-ass nippah
ah yes, Nemo23232423 submitted a remix of this song a few weeks ago (the video he sent was removed shortly after though, so i found a new link).this is in fact a rhythm game find
6.3/10, it's alright as far as high tempo piano pieces (which are kind of hit or miss for me).this one was not.

and your scores (11 in total):For each user with n ≥ 5 submissions:
Adjusted Score = x̄ − t(0.90, n−1) × (s / √n)
Where:

Rating | Difference from x̄ (Subtract 7.0818) | Square of Second Column |

Basedeven if it decreases overall in the case that those submissions are all shit anyways
I see youre majoring in mathing? hows the math you see in daily lives bto? kinda curios.the formula:
and your scores (11 in total):
7.6 7.0 6.8 5.7 4.8 7.4 9.5 8.4 6.0 7.4 7.3
find the mean (x̄) by adding them and dividing by 11:
x̄ = 77.9 / 11 = 7.0818
find the standard deviation of the ratings (s) by subtracting x̄ from each rating, squaring the result, and adding the results (tedious if you're not using Excel/Sheets):
Rating Difference from x̄ (Subtract 7.0818) Square of Second Column7.6 0.518 0.269 7.0 -0.082 0.007 6.8 -0.282 0.079 5.7 -1.382 1.909 4.8 -2.282 5.207 7.4 0.318 0.101 9.5 2.418 5.848 8.4 1.318 1.738 6.0 -1.082 1.170 7.4 0.318 0.101 7.3 0.218 0.048
the total of the third column (the standard deviations) is 16.476. divide that by (n-1) to find the sample variance (s2):
s2 = 16.476 / (11-1) = 1.6476
take the square root of the sample variance to find the standard deviation (s):
s = √s2 = √1.6476 = 1.284
(if you're wondering why we're using sample variance instead of population variance, it's because the score is meant to measure more of the 'trend' in a user's ratings (and assumes that they will continue to make new submissions) than finding the variance of a final data set. it also adds a slight final score penalty to users with lower submission counts (though 5 is the lowest n value that will have a score at all.))
then you (/the script) looks up the t value (always using a 90% in the cumulative probability column), and in this case:
t(0.90, n-1) = t(0.90, 10) = 1.372
(note that we are going off of the "Cumulative probability"/"One-tailed probability" labels at the top to find the t value, not the "Confidence level" at the bottom or "Two-tailed probability" at the top (as we'll only be subtracting a margin of error at the end, not adding one to find a range))
now we have:
x̄ = 7.0818 (the mean)
s = 1.284 (the standard deviation)
t = 1.372 (value that shrinks as submission count increases)
and finally, we subtract a margin from the mean:
margin = t × (s / √n) = 1.372 × (1.284 / √11) = 0.531
x̄ - 0.531 = 7.0818 - 0.531 = 6.55
the margin calculated at the end results in an adjusted score that penalizes users for having a high standard deviation.
no, but i wish i paid more attention in math class so i could do more cool stuff in Excel (i was set on the advanced math courses but dropped to normal pace a couple years in since i didn't want to do the extra work)I see youre majoring in mathing? hows the math you see in daily lives bto? kinda curios.
@BakedBanana i know damn well you reacted
titled <<<<<< on Spotify, it's an ugly song. not all of it is ugly, though, unlike humans (who are either one or the other). i'd also appreciate not having to do the extra work to find the artist/song names for many of these submissions, but a Tiddy can dream. not like i can count on the unwashed masses (YOU btw!) to do it correctly anyway.What do you think of ?
I also wanna major in mathsno, but i wish i paid more attention in math class so i could do more cool stuff in Excel (i was set on the advanced math courses but dropped to normal pace a couple years in since i didn't want to do the extra work)
6.4/10, meh but not bad territory. but she's a Lithuanian singer? you know, Baltic peoples trace the moniker back to the early 12th century when receiving their first shipment of balsamic vinegar from Southern Europe. however, none of them were able to pronounce words with more than two syllables.
then you're in the wrong place, i'm afraid. @Angry_Panda's shack is down the hall and to the left. if you hurry, you might even catch him in time to watch the kids saunter onto the school bus for a new semester.Im expecting a very high score on this one since this song is essentially catnip for middle aged man with a serene job thats sipping cofee on a friday evening
no, stick with computer science, even more so if you're good at it. (also me being a math major is misinformation spread by miscreants).I also wanna major in maths
Why am I doing CSE???
huh?Only good thing of cse is CP, that too cause of maths
