Hall & Oates is one of the only artists i have a dedicated playlist to. they have such an amazing discography.

i noticed you sent the 'video mix' (/original album) version of the song though, while i heavily prefer the single version. were you to have sent the single version, i would be truly impressed. but now i'm only moderately (impressed, that is).

8.0/10 (for the video mix version specifically)

5.9/10, i feel that a lot of these English covers of moon rune songs translate the lyrics too 'exact' if that makes sense, and as a result they sound somewhat stilted or unnatural as English sentences

did AI write these lyrics? they're incredibly bland. i don't think a song necessarily needs good lyrics to be good, it just needs to not have bad ones. it still has more substance than the yeemz song (low bar though). 5.8/10

Now for the question I'm sure you're all asking yourselves: how is the Adjusted Score calculated?

The methodology is as follows:
For each user with n ≥ 5 submissions:
Adjusted Score = x̄ − t(0.90, n−1) × (s / √n)
Where:
x̄ — the arithmetic mean of the user's ratings
n — the user's total number of submissions
t(0.90, n−1) — the critical value of the Student's t-distribution at the 90% one-sided confidence level, with n−1 degrees of freedom
s — the sample standard deviation of the user's ratings:

s = √[ Σ(xᵢ − x̄)² / (n − 1) ]

The final adjusted scores are rounded to two decimal places, and ties are resolved via standard competition ranking.

Please keep this in mind when submitting songs in the future.

ah yes, Nemo23232423 submitted a remix of this song a few weeks ago (the video he sent was removed shortly after though, so i found a new link).

7.4/10, pretty good, and fits well with the game's aesthetic. but i prefer the remix and would recommend listening to it (i gave it an 8.4/10!)

this one was not.
6.3/10, it's alright as far as high tempo piano pieces (which are kind of hit or miss for me).

then you (/the script) looks up the t value (always using a 90% in the cumulative probability column), and in this case:
t(0.90, n-1) = t(0.90, 10) = 1.372

(note that we are going off of the "Cumulative probability"/"One-tailed probability" labels at the top to find the t value, not the "Confidence level" at the bottom or "Two-tailed probability" at the top (as we'll only be subtracting a margin of error at the end, not adding one to find a range))

now we have:
x̄ = 7.0818 (the mean)
s = 1.284 (the standard deviation)
t = 1.372 (value that shrinks as submission count increases)

and finally, we subtract a margin from the mean:

the margin calculated at the end results in an adjusted score that penalizes users for having a high standard deviation (inconsistent submission quality) and a low total submission count (in other words, as you submit more songs, your score will go up from submitting more songs alone (even if it decreases overall in the case that those submissions are all shit anyways))

Oh, you like Daryl Hall & John Oates? (...he asked, unsurprised....) I'm a fan of their early stuff - lots of good work over their whole career, but there's a spark in the first couple albums that somehow tended to get buried under layers of production when they moved to RCA after War Babies. Here's a great live version of "She's Gone" - not just demonstrating their ability to do the material live but also those pants Oates is wearing, man....

And since no one has thrown a Three Dog Night song out there yet, here's 'Never Been to Spain', written (like most of their better songs) by someone else - in this case Hoyt Axton, who was possibly the only person to be able to say that both he and his mother wrote hits for Elvis. This one's a bit of a throwaway, but it really winds up nicely.

titled <<<<<< on Spotify, it's an ugly song. not all of it is ugly, though, unlike humans (who are either one or the other). i'd also appreciate not having to do the extra work to find the artist/song names for many of these submissions, but a Tiddy can dream. not like i can count on the unwashed masses (YOU btw!) to do it correctly anyway.

no, but i wish i paid more attention in math class so i could do more cool stuff in Excel (i was set on the advanced math courses but dropped to normal pace a couple years in since i didn't want to do the extra work)

though it sounds like you're from the UK (or worse, Australia) based on your misspelling of "math". i don't know how the labor market is over there for CS majors, but be aware that 'they' are biologically engineering more CS meatslaves every year
