You're the one that said "It's not optional." You're the one that insist they have to live a certain way and have a certain type of relationship.Much as I enjoyed the Discworld books, sometimes they go for a pithy quote over an actual truth. This is one of those times.
For a short while until she died horribly from doing something terminally unwise, sure. There are a lot of starry-eyed fools in those books that are only mentioned as punchlines.
You're missing the point, and since you're already being rude as hell making this a personal attack for no reason, I'm just going to say outright that you're probably missing the point on purpose.
It's got nothing to do with me. I'm not involved. I'm not the one who's going to force her. Decent chance it's not even a specific person who forces her.
But lasting relationships take work, and a degree of sacrifice. You can't run one on romance alone, any more than you can have a healthy diet of pure fondant.
If this works out for her, it'll only be because this is a rom-com, and as fictional as the Discworld.
This is about you forcing them to live how you think they should.
There are different types of people and different types of relationships. Leave the kids alone and let them figure it out for themselves.
