Shiba is such an apt name for someone literally living in your head.

Looks like Marill’s getting a crit so it IS an OHKO.

Okay, I’ve only met this Shiba guy for one chapter and I already like him. So many questions, all of them very intriguing. And I’m an absolute sucker for multiple personalities running around inside a character’s mind. This seems like a superpowered evil side without the evil. I personally see this as a more interesting trope. How does one feel about basically being sent from one place to another without their consent? Do they share memories and feelings? How does the body timeshare work? Since they are at least on good terms to the point they don’t mind swapping places whenever. So many interesting ideas you can pull from with this trope.

Does this story not teach the value and possibility of redemption? What about the newest member of the gang who was previously killing all of Lienna's comrades? She's changed and for the better, and she was manipulated into doing evil like this fairy has been isolated from mankind who originally were awful to her. The world's changed, especially the world inside the dragon. It's a story about rebirth as a person.
The newest member was a soldier with a magic explosive implanted in them that would kill them if they didn't obey orders. That's quite different from someone choosing freely to just murder a bunch of people for no reason.

A person getting bullied and abused mercilessly which causes them to be mistrustful and hateful to others, then getting blamed by others for being angry about said bullying and abuse? How awful! I'm sure glad this is a work of fiction and this isn't exactly what fosters and reinforces hateful ideologies in real life, hahaha!
I'm not blaming her for being angry,
I'm blaming her for trying to murder three innocent people that she invited into her house.
Amon and co would have never met her until she explicitly goaded them closer, just to kill them for personal gain.

Fuck 'er.

Okay I get that she has a tragic backstory and whatever but she still tried to murder people for no reason. To quote Brooklyn Nine-Nine "cool motive, still murder".
I mean... is that any worse than the conditioned enemy soldier that was part of a clear aggressor campaign and actually only got ate by the dragon because she was punished for not retreating & wanting to keep fighting against the enemy they invaded? Anyway, the story does a good job of acknowledging that and that Amon has a soft spot knowing what mages would've had to go through centuries ago. In this case our fists of pain MC was actually gonna merc her too for the attempted murder. All good as far as I can see.

I mean yeah but that's literally the cycle of "Us vs Them" and why generational trauma is so dangerous. It's not uncommon for the abused to respond with violence out of fear when given power. Fear is a very very dangerous driving force. No one is saying to forgive everything like nothing happened, but this situations like this aren't reasonably handled then the cycle will just continue to no one's benefit. She tried harming innocent people because she was afraid to interact with people again and afraid to risk being hurt by them. But she also utterly failed and there's way to resolve and move forward from the situation. I never get where these hyper extreme responses come from. An eye for an eye is just a quick way for the blind to start leading the blind. All crime is supposed to be met with punishment AND rehabilitation to improve people into being better versions of themselves that can contribute to society. This is still fantasy fiction that isn't trying to be some serious period drama documentary and going to be a lot more clean than real life, but in general there's nothing like Gotham Joker level of unforgivable evil monster here. They have basically an ex stormtrooper in the bff group. Are we drawing the line at bullied shut in that didn't even succeed in killing anyone?

equating the experience of a soldier in an army with a bullied person is soo this fucking century. Its not the same, no anount of dialectics and mumbo jumbo bullshit will make it the same.

I'm glad they didn't go total happy slice of life food manga route, having rich backstory for all the characters just make them more interesting than before, I still want more SoL element though but this manga have manage to balance both serious story and SoL elements really well so far
