This is such a nothingburger chapter. Idky they're dragging it out instead of just getting it over with in terms of exploring the yuri undertones the story set up with Hikari and Ayami. I feel like the chapter is pretty clear on that being the intention, but it edges that development instead of actually diving into it. Regardless, I still feel like, to some degree, that'd be straight up just bad writing
The story has genuinely been coddling Ayami and throwing whatever fault she has for this onto Yuu since the school festival stuff ended, despite her very much being the cause of that incident. It's hard for me to subscribe to the narrative that it's Yuu's passivity/indecision causing their problems when this all started because Yuu made his decision, but Ayami didn't like said decision, so she crashed out, hurting all 3 of them almost deliberately in the process (remember, she kissed Yuu because she saw Hikari was there)
There has to be an actual acknowledgement that loving either of them has only ever brought him grief if we're doing this that actually gets explored and not just waived off at the end or handled in an epilogue chapter for this to work out without leaving a sour taste in my mouth
