She was totally obsessed with Kanasaka. But she could have just gone to see him since she's patched up enough to be presentable and her mind control scent is working. She had a chance to be happy. Everyone thought she was dead, she could have left and never come back. Her own grudges got her killed.
To be fair, I get her obsession with him now, being stuck in a place forever, never being able to do anything and then being able to move and do everything seems like a blessing. No wonder she was so loyal to him.She was totally obsessed with Kanasaka. But she could have just gone to see him since she's patched up enough to be presentable and her mind control scent is working.
I bet he would have been totally horrified at this point, but she wouldn't even think of that.
Part of me wants to see that in a .5 "what if" chapter. The thought of him turning white as a sheet, and pupils turning needle point would be entertainment value enough. Especially since it basically happened once that first time anywayShe was totally obsessed with Kanasaka. Not even animal, to be honest. It's like becoming a yokai meant aquiring a human mind with a human outlook and desires. Which would mean all the yokai born from either inorganic objects or immobile living things are living out bleak, hopeless existences more akin to prisoners in their own bodies than anything else.Very animal coded yokai. A real plant wouldn't want to walk, they have everything they need right where they are. Animals are the ones who have to roam to survive and are built with a chemical predisposition to never be content in order to facilitate that. Want to be happy? Be a tree.
Humans are animals, virtually no animal wants to be caged. However, thinking that sentience must be animal in nature is a human assumption because we have a sample of one.Not even animal, to be honest. I never said anything about "sentience", it's not even the right term for it. What she wanted wanted was fulfilment in ways only humans look for, not just basic urges.Humans are animals, virtually no animal wants to be caged. My bad, "sapience" Mr. Pedant. The things humans see as "fulfillment" are biological, they do not spring from consciousness, consciousness is an after the fact explanation.I never said anything about "sentience", it's not even the right term for it.
