And that's really the reason why the girl was chosen as the main constructor moving forward, she represents the common constructor. I think you're not giving the noble the benefit of the doubt. Sure, you have a point regarding changing the deal, but as much as you think the noble guy is selfish MC is also being selfish. This project wasn't made because of altruistic reasons like giving the common man a means of a faster way to travel, it's just for Miyabi to maintain contact with his friend.

Also I forgot that Miyabi's insane magic output and abilities are really his own. It really does make sense in his reasoning if its meant to be used by a general population for an extended amount of time since its meant to link two places of population.
