At this rate I think Ima just wait for 5 or 10 chapters to pile up before continuing to read. I'm tired of the cliffhangers, dammit! We've had plenty lol, I'm already invested
yeah it really grinds my gears the way the story doesn't go in a way I want it to at all. all stories should actually just conform to my tastes. But I won't write my own story, I'll just keep bitching and moaning in the comments of this story that I rate a 2 and continue to readMan, I'm really invested in this. I don't get how people are mad about this, I have no idea where this is going and it's not something that usually happens to me.
In the novelization, it's straight up stated in this chapter she somehow already broke his heart twice before probably not intentionally sure but from his POV two other things happened that we're on the same level as this and Yami ghosting himWell yeah, dude is spouting hot garbage 😑
He's talking like he's always been in love with her and tried his hardest to make it work, when he hasn't done jackshit besides sleeping around with someone else
He honestly feels like those people that'd cheat on you and then come home with a smile acting like nothing happened
Really hope Hikari keeps that attitude 🥲
This is just conjecture, but i think at this point its save to say that the way hikari rejected yuu in the past was probably one of those definite and complete refusals that women use to politely signal to men "stop asking me out, i am not interested in you" (think "i only see you as a brother").He said he was reject 2 times, and we already know that before she fall in love for him she was just a friend, i don't know how but probably she said in a way that show she just want him as a friend
A tad off- he said she "broke his heart" twice before that not quite the sameHe said he was reject 2 times, and we already know that before she fall in love for him she was just a friend, i don't know how but probably she said in a way that show she just want him as a friend
From @Litreara's translation, it says "experienced the fourth heartbreak", which leaves room to say that it might have happened without Hikari's direct participation. In the novelization, it's straight up stated in this chapter she somehow already broke his heart twice before probably not intentionally sure but from his POV two other things happened that we're on the same level as this and Yami ghosting him
Yeah, is a valid point, but we can already imagine how it was, the first chapters show that she before just see him as a friend, she probably make this clearly for him twice.A tad off- he said she "broke his heart" twice before that not quite the same
She probably did things that were completely unintentional and out of obliviousness to his feelings for her
It doesn't change to much but I do think it's an important distinction
My guess would be her attempting to set him up together with another girl (as told by her in ch. 12):and the first one was when Hikari made it known to him that she does not see him as a man
As for the second one, I agree that it's probably about the exam.Every now and then -- maybe once a year, or every other year -- there'd be girls who'd come up to me and ask, Hey, could you introduce me to him? (Back then, I didn't think much of it and just went ahead and introduced them!)
But whenever I set up something like that, he'd always look all shy and uncomfortable.
They'd hang out a few times, try it out, but it never lasted...
Hikari: "So, Ta~kun, what happened with that girl?"
Yuu: "Uh... well..."
And he'd give me that awkward look, trying to dodge the question.
But the sad weirdo is her friend which he was kissing the previous day. If he dated a random girl a year ago then sure, but the person and recency is the issue. Then her dream was a delusion from the start. She’s throwing away the boy she loves because her PERFECT boyfriend-to-be would have run to her (when they were just friends) and told her all about having sex with a sad weirdo who made him feel bad about himself. Seems like something he was allowed to keep private, but not in Hikari land!
I wouldn't say he's quite "a bad guy" or "a good guy" I kinda think that's too much of a clean simplification of himYou could say that he is being a dick/bad guy by lying to Hikari about his phone and by not telling her about Yami. The way he confessed to Hikari ("loved you for 10 years") does not paint him in good light either since she knows something is up with Yami. All of it makes him seem like a spineless liar. Not the best optics
More that he lied about his cell phone and other things about himselfCrazy that she gets physical because he didn't out another girls sexual history
This has been the comment section of this godforsaken manga since ch.21, Everybody has been jumping the gun while author is giving crucial infos in dribs and drabs. We're basically trying to judge an incomplete puzzle
Yes all 3 of them are messes and should do some maturing and self care. Any romance would end up toxic at this point.I'm on team "everyone should walk away". Hikari is too immature, Yami has bigger problems to solve and Yuu should have moved on from this puppy love mixed with inferiority complex already.
