He seems to be afraid of those golems. I'd tell him to grow a pair, but it looks like he already has! That being said, I know the excuses for dudes playing chicks in games is several: Nice to look at, catfishing for free stuff, stat changes (Morrowind has that mechanic). All valid, but all suspicious also...

Honestly RNG seeding impacted by gender choice checks out. Mid-run? Maybe less, unless the gender choice affects seed progression and not the starting value. Who knows.

They literally have Super Mario quarter alternate universe long jump underworld to fast travel, a poorly designed RNG system seems fairly normal lmao

Heck, A Link to the Past has a boss fight where the boss spawn RNG is based on how fast it took to reach the boss, if time is a reasonable RNG manipulation tool, then gender seems equally normal.

That's a bit inaccurate. RNG seeds commonly use time as a standard, just extremely granular down to the microsecond in terms of effects on the result.

So using time to manipulate RNG can frequently introduce both frame-perfect execution as well as timegates that prevent timesaves before that point from mattering. And none of this is glitch in the code.

Other methods to manipulate RNG are about exploiting bugs or unintended interactions of other components on seed selection.

I am referring to a VERY specific sine variable in A Link to the Past which resets to a default variable if you finish the previous fight and several sets of rooms where the variable is used, which leads to the blue guardians at the end having a fixed starting position instead of being randomized.

edit: specifically, finishing those fights so quickly that the variable stops cycling, so it stops at the default and doesn't continue to cycle

The guy passes through walls and falls through the floor and this is what breaks your suspension of disbelief? The game world already had a lot of arbitrary game breaking bugs - some inconsequential and some plot-convenient; another one being a coupling of two unrelated game objects isn't going to be any more weird.
It's not on object bro 😭 the paths are laid out in order for you to sneak past them why would they do it twice?
In any mgs or hitman game would changing your costume or guns change the path of the characters?? Why would it do that it makes 0 sense

I fuking hate that slime guy. It adds nothing to the story and feels like a forced mascot by the author. Mascot should be LIKABLE, not a piece of sht second voice

I'm not thrilled about him but at least he's getting tormented and not getting anything he wants.

It would make sense if the paths and/or timing are procedurally created together and are randomized, but the random seed is somehow locked or influenced by something.

Either there is some static variable reuse, or there is bad memory management and memory that is being read by one part of the program is being overwritten by another part that may be completely unrelated.

This sort of error shouldn't happen in modern games where the game devs don't have to worry about memory management anymore ever and a game this big should have had some senior devs in it. But we forgive that because it's a common thing in speedruns of old games from the 90's and this manga is making references to all those glitchy things.
