I'd guess her hair changed colour, because Ameri's growing dried up her human 'super magical' energy that should've been in her blood and/or because her organism can't restore her human energy and replacing it with the Netherworld magical energy gradually led to severe poisoning.

So KINDA like with Emiya then? Albeit only the hair, shirou's case he got the N card with the hair whitening.

There is 0 chance she is Iruma's mother.

As much as they act the same, it's either coincidence.. or reincarnation, which honestly is just as bad as them being siblings. It could also just be, only humans with their type of personalities are allowed in the demon world to begin with. While not overtly established, it was pretty much given based on how Iruma talked about them, they were his real parents. He was just a baby, then forced to work the moment he could walk. I doubt people that selffish would care for a baby for a year or 2 before the child "became useful".

I mean i just assume ameri inherited her fathers taste in a mate.

Knightwalker just does not understand love.

Kushinashi is probably thinking of what's best for the Netherworld. Sending Merize back to the human world will hopefully stop all the arguing amongst demons, given what Knightwalker just tried to do. Sad for Henri though.😭😭

Knightwalker's concept of love is as cold as Donovan Desmond's love and concept of love. If Kushinashi were to erase the memories of everyone involved, that would include those who helped birth Ameri, including Lied's father, Murmur's father/brother/uncle Tsumuru, and Buer's mother/sister/aunt Blushenko.

It's a cruel choice to give him but, a significantly kinder cruel choice than what that Bastard of a guard dog gave him.

I stand by what I said before that it's a miracle Kalego didn't also turn into a terrible person with a father like this. Maybe he got influenced more by their mother in the ways that mattered.

Also super intrigued over what must've happened to their interim demon lord.

So with the opening of the portal to the human world, Merize will be returned to the human world (where she can be healed and saved) with her memories erased, so everything ties in with Henry's conversation with Iruma This likely puts an end to Nightwalker's plans. It will be interesting to know what happened to Nightwalker, Marta, and Kushinashi, since they have never appeared in the present.

Rereading from start, I wonder how much did Nishi actually planned for from the beginning.

I remember starting this without any expectations for it to go so deep on the lore and world building of the netherworld, like Ameri's collection of shoujo manga is just a device to build her character, nothing more (except the fact that her dad is a border patrol demon, he somehow get to have that in his hands?).

Maybe Purson for another example (lol).

Well this manga is full of many things that sounds like a staple for a gag manga but actually is connected to the lore?!? And I love that for it.

Regarding Kuchinashi, there is a theory that she may be related to Nagi (Kirio's childhood friend), as in her first appearance she wore an object very similar to Nagi's earring and could therefore be her grandmother.
