That’s what I ment. I don’t really call her father a “father” because it’s implied from the chapter that he never really lived with them in this world. I get the feeling that Hinata’s father is one of the only few that actually likes girls (maybe a playboy too by the context of what the mom said) but either way, he didn’t do anything to protect Hinata so I don’t really consider him a “father”. Sorry if I was not clear enough.

It's mentioned that having Sou is what enabled her wealthy financial status (its compared to winning the lottery). Basically she gets a rather nice Government support fund for raising a male in the household. Hinata was named after the man her mother was obsessed with. For all we know, it might not even be the name of her father and her mother got artificial insemination just to have a child to call Hinata and pretend. Alternatively, she assaulted Hinata Sr. and got pregnant with her.
Her jealousy has deep roots she'd rather not acknowledge, but Sou is drawing all that out whether she likes it or not. That...won't be comfortable, but maybe she'll be a bit happier at the end of it. In that sense, she's rather lucky she ran into a boy with a sense of equality like Sou rather than ever getting attached to a "normal" man.
