I agree. Up until now, Riri has been more than fine. We'll see how things go though. This is billed as a sweet romantic comedy with some fun "danger," (because of the succubus) so I don't expect anything that bad.

When you have a story that is mostly lighthearted in tone like this one, usually the simplest explanation is the most likely explanation.

In this case, that would be Luna is a concerned friend giving a heads up that her friend's new lover is full of red flags.

On the other hand, the author didn't need to make Luna an ex to fulfill this role, so it's likely there's something more here.

It could really go either way since this manga maintains a mostly lighthearted tone while it toes the line with exploring more dramatic subject matter.

Reading through the comments I was also thrown off by Riri being seen as this horrible person when in 3.2 (like you mention) she says the concept of dating & exclusiveness is foreign to her. She mentions her parents who let's assume formed the pact that bonds both party's hearts which led to her probably being born. Since we don't have much information on them we can only assume that they taught her how to go about relationships with the mentality of a succubus and to hide her identity to continue living as a human. Still, you bring up another good point: Riri could see that Mai sometimes was uncomfortable in moments and would ask for her consent. She can even see the energy change around Mai signaling that she's thinking lewd thoughts so maybe she can tell when she's having increased amounts of anxiety.

I think Luna's red flag at this moment is how she separated Mai from Riri to tell her to be on guard. Also, I'm not too fond of the fact that on pg.10 she implied that she even steamrolled Mai while dating her. Riri is probably upset that both of them were alone behind a closed door and that she found out Luna is her ex. I doubt she cares about the badmouthing her since she acknowledges her countless times of sleeping with people in conversations with Mai.

I don't think either Riri or Luna are "bad people," but this is happening due to a confluence of their respective character flaws (and Mai's). Luna I do think means well, but she seems to have trouble seeing things from other people's perspectives. It seems like, in her mind, as soon as she broke up with Mai that means they can just go back to being friends again, not quite understanding that Mai was in love with her more than she was in love with Mai and can't go back to being "just friends" nearly as easily. (Of course this is partly because Mai hid her own pain and went along with everything Luna asked, which is her own character flaw.) Similarly, she hears rumors that Riri sleeps around and assumes she must just be an evil cheating slut.

Riri, on the other hand, is experiencing strong emotions for the first time and doesn't really know how to deal with them. We know Mai is the first person she's ever been in love with; indeed, since Riri doesn't have friends, Mai may be the first person period Riri has ever been close to aside from her parents. She's experiencing love, jealousy, and possessiveness for the first time, so it's understandable that she would have an extreme reaction in this situation.

Knowing Yatosaki Haru I don't expect things to get too dramatic from here, but I am quite curious to see how she resolves this conflict and in particular what role Luna will play in the story going forward.

If you've read her other work "Girls' Arcadia," you'll see this is essentially the same story but with a new succubus twist. Almost the same story beats: quick relationship start, MC's lover feels MC is different, friends who also "warned" the MC about her sudden lovers background. Everything was always chill and mostly wholesome. We'll see if this one is the same but it really feels like a new version of that story. I wouldn't expect anything nefarious from anyone yet.
