I am like really dumb so what does he mean when he said: "I thought that you would understand what I meant when I said that."

@Anono,
maybe about the fact that said "loyal servants" that are taken in custody that way and raised would be part of that noble retinue, and not their parents family anymore.

At the very least, you can't expect someone to "never betray you", if they are still part of the commoner's family that can easily be captured and used as a hostage. "Loyal servants" are trained in the way that your first priority is to serve your master, second - serve your master, and third - to kill yourself if your existence detrimental to your master.

I think it is insulting because he's now implying that the 30 gold was paid to raise the dark guild as loyal servants who will never betray his lady.

Maybe it was also something along the way of "they won't betray us, like someone betrayed and framed your chief"?
Dunno, I also didn't understand it.

I’m lacking context, I don’t get his point. 30 gold was the gouging for the girl, what else was there I wonder

I also don’t get their point about him abandoning the parents, we’re they going to keep paying them after the initial sale of the child? Weird turndown.

Shame this was only a partial chapter, I do enjoy this manga so I’m grateful for the work.

This feels weird to read with so much context not explained. Actually there are more psy-wars in the novel at this particular discussion

I feel like he meant that as he's paid for the rights to them and that they're now loyal servants to the lady the 'debt' has nothing to do with them. The money is to cut off that connection or danger that both the dark guild and the parents reliance on them would represent.

Novel has more context. Can't even see the MC's thoughts here. But basically

he's buying the rights and implying that the kids are now loyal servants of the household to prevent the Dark Guild from enticing the kids to run back to their parents so that they can get the kids back. As opposed to "buying the kids as merch" he is "buying the rights to raise the kids" or something, can't quite remember. The dark guild is trying to probe him to find out if he's going to abuse the children.

I think that maybe the 30 coins wasn't price gouging in the usual sense. Rather, the real Nameless set that price for any nobles who tried to buy the girl because A. He doesn't like nobles, and B. He knows they can afford it. Wait that might actually be regular price gouging. Whatever.

So he uses they extra profit margin to clear the parents debt cause he's the "honorable gangster" type.

Just my take on a few lines lacking in context.

Pretty nice for the traffickers to be concerned if the kids will be abused or not I feel like their more off an adoption center than slave traders.

Yeah this conversation was confusing... probably the translation just isn't up to the task of explaining the mind games.
