the meme page is accurate, but I think it works as a story because of it. Even if the "crisis" that created all of the narrative drama and tension was reasonably mundane, each member of the cast was well-realized and grounded in their mannerisms and motivations that gave sense and insight into why they thought and acted as they did.

It was all rather low-stakes in a lot of ways, but it allowed the focus to be on the characters themselves. Plus, there were no real "villains" in the story; everyone had some form of character arc that expressed growth and evolution (except Orva, but fuck that guy, he got what appears to be a mother for a wife and he'll at least be kept in line from here on) (and Seraphina, but she's the perfect character everyone else revolved around narrative-wise, so it at least makes sense for her)—and the fact that even Aini learned and grew kinda makes it a neat story about perspectives and ideals and less about "who deserves to be lauded or punished".

Not the most groundbreaking series I've read, but actually quite entertaining and more rewarding than I expected going in. Looking forward to the final chapter.

I agree with the sentiment, but I don’t know if Sauri has really grown much.
Sure, he realized just how formidable his sister is, but the fact that there’s still even a question of who should inherit the House makes it seem like their father is still being an idiot. If he really had grown enough to be a Head of House, then he should have also found a fiancé by now who had either the wealth or political influence to at least make him a contender, instead of clinging to the vague hope that he can either get Aini or someone equal to his sister.

Sauri is a 3.6; not great, but not terrible.

Looks like they expanded a bit more details on other character
I wont be using spoilers since its already been shown

-In the WN, Berna and Lucian was only hinted as being married but there was never a confirmation
-The battle for succession between Sauri and Berna was also never mentioned
-There was not really a wedding scene between Seraphina and Eric with Aini dropping out of the sky to give her blessings
-Orval being married to an older women was also never mentioned but 100% deserved!
-Aini reshaping the church from grown up but that just it. Never about her travelling around combating corruption and went MIA while being in contact with Seraphina and co, her story simply ended like that.
-Sandra and Gerald relationship was never really mentioned again after their arc, this small story about them getting married after settling down and being romantic is new~

Overall, the Manga did the WN justice by expanding more details that was skimped over. It does not stray from the original story setting but simply added more details to flesh out the story to be better. I wish more WN adaption will take this Manga as a lesson on how to properly do a proper Manga adaption.

What is coming next
I think the after story takes place in the future with the Daughter/ Decedent of our cast in a small condemnation event. There isn't really any mention of who the character are so it is assumed they are related to our original cast in some ways.

Kind of odd for Sandra to talk about wanting to help Sauri get a fiancee so he could strengthen his position for inheritance when she knows Berna is gunning for it and she's much closer to Berna like. Sure we don't need to keep hating Sauri if he's shaped up but also don't help him at your friend's expense????
