Ok, so he's the hero that saved the world but was betrayed by the society so he's lost his confidence. I get that. He saved the monstergirls and educated him so they love him. I also get that.

What I don't get is why he went back to the society that betrayed him and got a low paying low respect job from people who hate him. Is this the only city in the world? Is he hated by all human/elf civilization? Not saying he should do a stereoptypical 'slow life' farm harem thing but at least go someplace where they don't despise you.

This manga is like that overpriced meal that you bought, each time you took a bite, you realized how awful it is. But you keep biting it hoping that the taste will be better. We're on bite 14th.

The main character doesn't want anything to do with others but he can't draw the lines with the girls, keep getting dragged along with their antics. Instead, he chose to endured their antics, knew that they want to help but doesn't make any effort to better himself so they aren't insulted by being associated with him.

Does the mangaka or editor actually thought that reading this kind of character is fun?

I can't keep complaining about overpowered isekai protagonists if I'm not willing to give these kinds of a characters a try.
If one is really overpowered, then act like it man. So far Washio is just acting like a "zako". It ain't fun to read with him like this. He isn't struggling. He isn't dominating. He isn't even average. He is just... bleh. He got two people rooting for him with all their heart. Don't he feel anything about that? Don't he want to prove that their devotion to him is not worthless?

It's a bigger problem than that given that those two people are of a very high status (to the point that they can ignore laws) and are extremely willing to use deadly force and cause extensive property damage whenever they feel he's been slighted.

It's wrong for him to fall back on being a passive observer when two loose cannons want to murder and mayhem in his name.

I know he's going to go back and wake her up but I almost want him not to just for the comedy value of a mangaka going "New character... jk not really"

This MC is insufferable. How long can you make your character a pathetic doormat for before any progress is made? This is just aggravating to read, man. I've been slogging through it, hoping for character development, and every single time without fail the author has let me down.

"I'm just a biology teacher."

I read her lines with KOS-MOS's JP voice in my head.

Washio really needs to sharpen up, he needs to realize his self doubting persona isn't giving anyone a future.

I sure hope there's a specific reason for him to be such a fucking stupid bitch about his self worth, instead of the usual Japanese mentality at play.
