But she did learn the power of team work? Rather than shouldering everything alone and worrying about others, she should have just focused on the fight and accepted Byaku's help. At least that's what I got out of it.

What are you talking about? Mages need to use ambushes. You said it yourself. They live or die by information and knowledge. What do you think is the best way to use that?

The best way to use knowledge, is to hit at the heart of the problem. For example, to find out who is the mastermind behind the summoner, and send somebody on a quest to kick his ass. Which is why the old sorceress gave the summoner plenty of chances to say too much.
If she was a main character, she would have used a tracking spell too. Or maybe she did use one, but the enemy mage managed to defeat it.

Good chapter, adaptation doing a good job, but this pace man, it barely moved from story, for the last 3 chapters we've been pretty much at the edge of finishing LN Vol.3 but this chapter here barely moved at all, it just finished the last 3rd of Chapter 41, out of 42 + extra in Vol.3

Manga getting to Vol. 8 or finishing the story with Vol.11, gonna be ages lmao

For what it's worth, we do know she has some demon-lordy roots so she's sleeping on her power (as boilerplate and uninteresting as that is). Moreover we already know she's good with teamwork from various fights with her usual party. Really if anything she just learned to wise up a little and not play herself off as weak when she isn't, though I'd have preferred if she were a bit more serious here (her mood-shift was a bit odd and abrupt).

Given how relatively well drawn they are you come to expect more from the action sequences, but they're really not core to the series' appeal anyways.

Combat is stressful, many cease to think properly, most will fall back to their training and experience. . . which is exactly what she did.

Well it is coming from a novel, so it's not that surprising that things that happen may clash with the mangakas forte.

FMCs conflict seemed weird and paced awkwardly, as one of the very first posts here already mentioned. It was very shonen cliche when it could've been handled with a bit more seriousness. But that might just be the author's lack of experience in that regard and them seeing how other stories did combat conflicts before.

As already mentioned, this isn't a focus for the story apparently, so it's fine, but together with the scorned nun self sacrifice along other things, this was a very trope reliant arc.
