My question is, why tf don't they just turn bandits/death row inmates into clones? Also producing small arms shouldn't be that difficult... Hell, with the technology of the Empire of Man (or whatever it is called), why are they not just mass producing tanks and steamrolling the entire planet? Too many plot holes in this story. The main mission of Alan isn't to peacefully integrate this planet, it is to prepare it for a bug invasion but he is instead trying to follow local culture at the expense of precious time.

No but Electronic Magnetic Pulses (aka EMP's) does interfere with tech. And magnets do fuck up you phone if they are strong enough. I literally work with a powerful magnet at work, i keep my phone far away from it cause it kills computers and such.

The weird part is still who is the fake Cleria that's invading his mind and why they can't intervene if his mission really is to save Humanity on Aless (or whatever the planet's name is now, the name is inconsistent between chapters).

I am very bugged by Alan's response to his contacts with her. He is keeping it a secret, which is a major point of vulnerability for their effort. Nobody else can be working on the significance of her existence and abilities, and he is sometimes not good at thinking flexibly. This is like concealing a zombie bite.

No drone strikes on the advancing columns that possess no airpower or AA? It should've been easy to decimate the army marching on the way with the drones the were producing. And they have a dragon too!

Where did AI Iris learn tactics, because it's certainly not what a modern commander with access to her level of airpower would've done. Don't tell me their best plan is to actually send 1000 warriors out of the fortress to battle the comparatively primitive enemy of 100000 with swords? They have energy guns and advanced artillery, what the hell? Even orbital bombardment is possible. Truly a headscratcher...

After dozens of chapters on easy mode where problems practically fix themselves for the MC, this is the first true challenge for Alan. The part where he's captured by a superior opponent possessing his level of technology is good and believable. It's just harder to understand the challenge for those defending the siege. If the enemy has the power to shoot down a spacefaring civ's aircraft then I'd understand but what is going on over there?

The technological gap is even bigger than that of GATE (JSDF, tanks and planes vs Roman Empire with wyverns and magic) and yet they appear to be in trouble...
