How would he explain, where he got the loot from? Even if it were just some gold coins. You don’t just randomly find such stuff.

Explain it to whom? If he suddenly needed money for something critical, it would be better to have it than not have it. It's not like that world would have police officers monitoring money transfers for signs of money laundering anyway.

It's actually interesting how the old man says some sensible stuff : the most important in fighting is how proficient you're with your weapon and not how good your weapon is...
Usually mcs get overpowered or speedrun to a golden weapon that renders the game too easy and the story for that matter becomes worse.

Well, that was so convenient, payment with the guild card. Rudolph is a gentleman and good mentor. This is so refreshing, a hardworking and diligent MC like this.

So far so good, story=wise, but I've been going back and forth with the translation groups, to try to get a better feel of what they are trying to say. Some parts are better in this version, but others, like the 'pay-to-win' part, that is not translated well in this version, or when he says 'the villainess' here, when it makes more sense to do what he did in the other translation, by calling her by her name. Why would you call the one you're trying to save a villainess?
Anyway, like I said, I am enoying it so far, so on to the next chapter we go.

It didn't even mentioned that he was worried he would get caught. So he is just stupid and retarded.
Just grabbing a few gold coins would do more than cleaning for months or years. It was pissing me off when I saw it.
It would have been better to not have that treasure mentioned at all and just be a regular goblinappreciateion

Yeah we're all on the same page with that. Series either do the all or nothing with loot right in front of a protag for the taking where just a touch of it is little/no risk.

But when they do there's ALWAYS the "oh no monsters/baddies noticed us!!!" trope, so I like they balanced it out with him getting the thing he went there for without that.

He couldve even made multiple trips and been picking off the goblins outside the place one or two at a time too to boost himself up a bit early on. But he develops fast anyhow, so I guess its fine. Just a bit of a "bro at least scoop some coins for mom." :wtf:
Don't know why you guys are getting downvoted. It's literally lazy storytelling by the mangaka. Same goes for the appreciation skill BTW. Instead of figuring out stuff with his own knowledge, wits and smarts, now he can use the skill. It's the favorite shortcut for authors that are going to cheap out on character development and storywriting. It's also enough information for me to know that this story won't improve and probably will get worse. Good point to drop this stinker.

How would he explain, where he got the loot from? Even if it were just some gold coins. You don’t just randomly find such stuff.

He is going the safe way by having all of his income be traceable. This way when he spends the 15 million coins and people are asking we’re a young boy would get such an amount, he can point them to the guild which doubles as his bank. Which would show that the 15 million is mostly compound salary of some years of guild work, and the sales of some highly appraised items which were bought in the city.
He literally found the ruins randomly. What are you even talking about.

There would have been a dozens methods to launder a single pouch of coins found in the chest or use it in alternatives ways. Even I can instantly think about a few so that argument is moot.
Its obvious not everyone has a digial wallet to store his currency. If that was the case, the goblins couldnt have stolen all the coins.
