Why is the villainess worried he's going to die after they already agreed not to fight to the death? How come even before the MC proposes a 5 v 1 the love interests are acting like he'll have to fight them all one after the other? That's not at all how a duel works. Also, really, we're already doing the "OMG our OP protagonist is so strong he can fight five dudes at once with just a dagger!" Come on man, that's just corny.

I didn't read this MTL but did read the raw (just pop by after finishing ch 25's RAW just to see how far/if any TL has been done)

She's worried about him because even if it's a duel that with no killing rule, 'accidents' can happen.
Not to mention just by stepping in, he technically went against a royal so regardless of result of the duel the nobles will likely do something to him/his family.

The 1 v 5 after another is 'probably' mistranslation (again, I didn't read what they actually put out) the OG line was like this:
The prince ask him to find 4 other representatives since his side have 5.
If not then MC will 1 v 1 a person each day, and if he can have 5 consecutive victories- cut off here.

I'd rather no translation if its being actively worked on by someone competent. Which is the case here. In the discord its been explained that there was an unfortunate delay with chapters 21-24 which are translated but still need proofreading and cleaning. The group had staffing problems.

I honestly think no translation is better than something like this, because then you can get a real translation when a group picks it up later down the line.

If a new group were to pick this up a few months from now, would they bother re-translating this chapter? Statistically speaking, no. It's uncommon for groups to redo chapters even on finished series and even more rare in ongoing series.

Right now, this chapter is technically translated.

Sure it's filled with errors that even a first-grader wouldn't make, and yes, you could literally scan the raws with OCR and copy-paste into DeepL for better results, but this chapter currently exists in english.

That means that this chapter 20 could be the only translated version we get.
And to me, that is worse than having to wait longer for an actual group to pick it up.

This person seems to think the translator (of chapter 20) posted chapter 21 and is now calling them a cunt, must defend!

(inevitable continuation of train of thought as more commenters see page 1 and 5 and reply) --> oh no, now they are mad that the guild scans didn't post here when all they need is to copy/paste. They are not even obligated to even provide said translations! Must defend more (saying this as one of them myself more or less)~~~

In actuality your probably attacking the uploader for not also uploading chapter 20 from a different group with this (I think self translated) chapter.

Personally, from this quality or lack thereof, I would assume the uploader is the translator here and is only posting this chapter as only this chapter is their work. Sharing what they did so it feels less meaningless. I personally am not going to call them a cunt for not going through the trouble to upload someone elses work herebefore uploading the continuation of it. After all, without this we simply do not have a chapter 21 and no reason to go looking for the existing chapter 20. Its not their responsibility to upload it, if we are upset we can google it ourselves and upload it (assuming its not against the guild scans md policy).

Fan-scanlator already invested as much time as they are willing to in this (somewhat obviously by quality). So... you know. Put in some effort yourself before calling someone who did something more or less readable enough a cunt? More or less the gist of it. We don't want to discourage people willing to put time in from doing so, it might suck now but this is how new scanlators start. If they build a small group (as some are encouraging, starting with a proofreader) instead of getting discouraged from a few hurtful comments early on, then we might have a new reliable and eventually quality source for this and other seriese.
Know your just shitposting but those of us partialy in the game try to keep things more chill and open since we want to encourage more to join our hobby. Like a new player to a normal game.
