That being said, there is literally nothing wrong with what Himari is doing because Akane doesn't deserve or owed anything with the way she acts. You shouldn't pull back from your love just because some retard can't be honest even for one goddamn second. Her reason for being angry with him is even more retarded.
I only slightly disagree (full blame on the author though) with this because while yes, this would be completely fine on Himari’s part normally, this is is SUPPOSEDLY her best friend and a person she likes and is close too. If you have such a close bond, you’d imagine that you could at least get a general feel of a persons feelings and that makes Himari seem even worse of a person because she probably knows what’s going through Akane’s mind and is knowingly flaunting NTR levels of “I’m stealing your man in front of you”.

The plot line seems pretty obvious (“I’m going to push you to make a move and sacrifice my love for your happiness”) but it’s pretty gross overall.

All Akane needs to do is to be honest with MC and with herself. But she can't and she won't. As i said, she is not owed anything. Himari going after the MC is not out of character but her being this antagonistic about it, is. That's the bad writing part. It's the inconsistancy in her character. In 1 volume, she turns from the best friend with a crush (classic love triangle setup) to outright manuplative mastermind with books and background story to boot. It feels artificial because it is. If she stayed the same, there would be no one to support Akane because she outright sucks ass as a FMC.

The classic “oops I made the rival way better than the main heroine, time for some character assassination!”
