Ishikawa’s huge transformation seriously reminded me of that “normal SpongeBob” scene, haha. The sad part here is that the one-shota village had to disappear forever :qq: and in the end, the MC finally got a brutal kiss from Hizumi on the last page. I dunno why, but this chapter kinda feels like the manga is slowly heading toward its ending.

Let me reiterate that I frakkin' LOVE the new posting system.

Anyway...

I enjoyed this new chapter of "co-dependency: the manga".

Okay guys, I'm now taking bets on how many chapters it'll take for the sister to go back to her girl-failure shotacon obsessed ways.

É irritante como o Shinba não evolui direito.Hizumi needs to let him grow up. I believe there might come a time when he'll explode at her, and that will be worse than fearing he'll leave, because being hated For the one you love, and far worse than being abandoned.
It probably related to Hizumi's past which causing her doesn't want to lose Shinba at any chance. But also she admit that she's actually wrong and didn't know what she need to do to let Shinba fly higher but doesn't leave her behind. That's all her girl's abyss.

Honestly, I’m glad his sister actually recognized her bad habits and worked to improve herself. Most other manga just take the easy way out and say she should “just be herself”. The panel where she leaves is both sad and beautiful. The MC realizes that the sister he once knew is gone, but he also acknowledges that she changed for the better.

I wonder who's next. The guy friend or the mother.

I’m glad big sis changed and grew for the better, but I don’t know why it still feels like someone died—especially with Shinba having flashbacks to her old self. Yeah, the oneeshota gimmick was outta pocket, but it gave her a sense of individuality. Now she’s kind of a Hizumi 2.0 (not a bad thing), just different. Seeing her off at the station was very bittersweet. I’m curious to see where she goes with her manga from here, and hopefully she doesn’t fall back into habits that undo her growth.

On another note, Hizumi’s fear of abandonment is on full display this chapter. She wants to support Shinba and help him grow, but the fear that he’ll "outgrow" her and leave keeps holding her back. It’s that internal conflict—wanting to support him but being unable to fully let go.

And the sad part is, she knows it’s wrong. She’s aware that her insecurities are stifling him, and she feels remorse. It’s not that she won’t help him grow—it’s that she can’t bring herself to.

Although, Shinba noticing her trembling makes me think he’ll start peeling back those layers and get to the root of her insecurities—especially now that they're going to live together. Because the version of Hizumi we saw in that highschool photo feels like a completely different person… and I'm very interested to see how that backstory unfolds.

Thanks for the TL.

Yeah, ever since she knew shinba's backstory she's actively stopped belittling him as much as she use to. Heck, she's stopped getting off on it at times. Due to now knowing how fucked up that is for her to do so. Hizumi at this point realises that her core issues are truly hurting him especially now since both of the siblings missed the chance to grow but only 1 got to become something while the other had to watch as his heart got wretched from seeing his sis finally do what he's always wanted to do.

Not really sure if I am happy with the sis turn into Hizumi without verbal abuse, but it is what it is.
Still waiting the backstory how Hizumi desire something like MC.
