Was about to comment that there is literally no way Merim is actually a guy then saw the cover posted right above.
Glad to see this is getting picked up again hopefully as well, it has a fun little twist on the usual generic OPness. Now to see if his "auto" skill can dodge friendly fire.
Well, it's understandable that people would be confused. Because this goes beyond simple pronoun confusion...It’s the classic ‘Gender neutral pronouns in Japanese’.
And spoiler Yes, it’s only revealed around the end of volume 3 that Merim is a girl, to the surprise of the protagonist. That’s why I chose to use ‘he’ for now.
Mangaka being deliberately misleading, but we all know how these tropes go, don't we?
