By striking a pose at the exact right frame a target ID glitch was triggered which caused the enemy's attack to misfire onto itself, resulting in a 2 hour timesave. This trick is very difficult to pull off and was considered TAS only up until a few months ago.

I doubt they went through with that because Merim immediately called him an idiot for suggesting it. I also doubt Merim would have any strength left to hang onto Claus for the ride home if she carried him up 10 floors of the dungeon.
