When I read 'mature' manga, I sometimes project myself onto the characters—admittedly, it’s not exactly a good habit, and I only ever do this alone. I might even vent these thoughts to people online. But the second I step back IRL, I absolutely can’t stand any physical contact with other people. Just the thought of it makes me dizzy and like I’m gonna pass out. I’ve got this weird mental boundary issue where I can’t even bring myself to shake hands with people I know IRL. Still, I do get those fluttery, excited feelings when mangaing' (only for 'mature' content) online though.
