Because it started off incredibly strong with a strong af cast that offset the more generic story moments.

Also, Yuzu only recently turned THIS frustrating and annoying, pretty much right after mc finally got some guts and planned to confess. This is the most formulaic convenient dshit writing sadly.

Jesus I used to love this manga as one of my top 10 but it's fallen off so hard it's difficult to defend it anymore. There's a limit to how many times you can kick the can down the road with the same exact plot and have it still make sense. Yuzu can be in denial all she wants but there's no second reading to a kiss on the lips. It's not even the characters being stupid and useless anymore, it's the author trying to stretch the story for absolutely no reason.
A story that makes you angry at the characters is a good story, a story that makes you angry at the author is a really bad story. This was painfully pointless.
