At least that's what was said, this bastard at end raped her and then strangled to death after learning she tried to Elope with MC and then he pinned blame to MC, which is why he was send to die in dungeon, well at least that MC said, what we see is scene of this bastard strangling her as MC was blacking out, so it's not impossible that something was changed, but at least when he was being thrown in dungeon he was being officially accused of rape & murder, so there had to be corpse.

I don’t know if it’s because of the slow release but even after 20 long chapters him escaping the dungeon didn’t feel deserved. Like he hadn’t gone through any apparent character development after dying so many times and being in the dungeon for so long. But then he turned full bloodlust on everyone and my opinion got thrown out the window.
