It's hard to believe this came out of the same author as Golden Time and Toradora

Don't read it.

Oh well, everyone had a different feeling from this it seems.
Personally I liked it. Not without some faults, but still a nice read. I gave it an 8\10.

While I thought that they got together a bit too quickly, I still appreciate them handling themselves in a somewhat mature way, conveying feelings to each other and not stumbling for 100 chapter with "oh no, I can't confess" stuff.

Many people didn't like them turning out to be siblings.
But I think it was a good plot point.
Them being related is an unsolvable circumstance rendering their love for each other impossible.
It's not something they can overcome, it's final and certain and it should be a painful realization both for the characters and the reader.
Thou it would have been better without the forshadowing from the "there are two keys" moment.

I enjoyed that On-chan and senpai were able to get together. That's nice that author didn't just drop them as is and their storyline as a whole was rather enjoyable while short.

The chapter itself was good, him saving her from danger and mother noticing them being on good terms.

But god did I hate the fireflies moment. He looked SO stupid shouting "that's my dad, that's my dad!".
Would have been better if he chose a path on that crossroad by remembering his nightmare where he saw both Niki and the masked girl. Or something. It would have added some "mystery shroud" to it being a mysterious right choice, while really being a mere coincidence and not making Hotaka look like a total idiot.

I think in the end he doesn't mean they have a secret "romantic" relationship, but rather keeping a secret the fact that they are blood related. His words and actions show that he knows they can't be together as a couple, but he still wants to protect and cherish her as her brother.
That's the way I interpret it for myself, call it headcanon if you'd like, the ending is indeed of an "open" kind.
