@llde @rona_shen You have to know that back in medieval times, intelligence divisions werent as competent as we have now. You have to be overly cautious for you to know if someone is plotting against you. The only way they get info is by abducting & torture, bribing and rumors back then. Oh and uh the Inquisition is basically the CIA of middle ages but for heretics declared by the clergy. They dont have tapping devices. They were also quite complacent in those things and only gather intel about rebels when there are actual uprisings or if someone was spreading rumors or if the king becomes insanely mad due to paranoia. It took us hundreds of years history before we got an effective intelligence network we employ today.
Only few nobles/royalty ever care to know fully their own country. Only the good natured ones and cunning ones who exploits are the one's who care to know the details. The rest of the nobles just indulge in their own havens, getting richer or getting into conflicts w/ others.
Do not compare the medieval times to modern times as there clearly a big gap to them. What the MC did is basically Renaissance but in isekai.

While you are correct, you missed my point.
The point wasn't that there was a poor network and so the information isn't know, but that the second prince in charge of the "internal security" didn't warn the first prince and the king about the rebellion, despite he KNEW that a rebelllion was imminent. He WENT to confront the MC about this, inquiring her motives, as he suspected she knew about the rebelllion.

@llde Thats because he knew it would escalate faster should he tell them about it. His brother is not really fit to rule as implied earlier as he is too uncompromising and too impulsive to deal with it. His father is would definitely be no better as he would probably insist to go w/ the marriage faster and put his foot down and those nobles would not back down so it will result in civil war. He wants to tell them about it but needs the right time for it. He is stressed how to deal w/ it but when he met the MC, and found out she knew about the rebellion and planned her annulment, he knew that this girl can help him solve this problem properly. What 2nd prince wanted was to deal w/ it peacefully instead of outright confronting the nobles and result in a war. They had too many domestic problems that adding war to it would totally result in the collapse of the country. Ducal Nobles are very hard to keep in line and u must reign them in properly. If u beat them too much they will get wild and go rampaging.
In short, this guy wants diplomacy over brute force for subduing/calming down the nobles. War will not be beneficial in their already plummeting country. With the MC's help, he can do so w/o having to resort to sword point.

this scene is so much better than most romfan villainess stories, he doesn’t blindly go to his downfall but instead he’s made an utter fool of by his ex-fiance who turned out to be way smarter than him, plus his brother and his dad
