Holy shit, this hits hard.
Sometimes it's not in visceral gore or violent death, when one is looking for a more potent form of revenge.
Pain not in merely the body, but in the soul itself. Suffering made eternal, a magnitude beyond comprehension.
Victoria's end was through retribution. Wendel's end was from hope weaponized through countless resets. The priestess's end was from a reality check of epic proportions. And this one's end will be from the pain of begging for forgiveness given all the sins he has committed - without mercy nor mental deterioration, renewed indefinitely.
I like how poetic his judgement has become for people who were supposed to be closest to him. Maybe it's because I'm tired of all the gore. Past violent death, should the bigger badder punishment be brainwashing and infinite suffering?
The odd thing is that such a punishment can only be so horrifying when viewed by an outside observer, because the victims therein will never know how long they had been suffering in the Hell tailor-made for them.
