If anything the elf just thinks they can defeat the monster by sacrificing the beastmen and humans all at once.

surprise! Elves were total dipshits!
wait, wdym it's not a surprise? It was obvious? But they were so nice... They weren't? Just goading their offerings?
So apparently the elves having an evil agenda was the plan and the magical spirits fixed it all

This part was the most Mary Sue like chapter of them all.
MC: Oh no, you have a nefarious scheme! Please don't, why don't we be friends instead?
Elf: ... sounds good.

But she's cute so it's ok. Lol.

I wish the mangaka didn't do this (or the novel author if this is based on a novel). That was very childish and stupid. The dude kidnapped her to get her sacrificed and she said a couple of words and all is well and it's back to being fluffy and all? WTF
Now , I get why this manga makes me uncomfortable...it can't decide what it wants to be: it's hard in the beginning with her being abandoned then it's all fluff then boom the father dies. Yes, life has ups and downs but not like this, it's not even about events it's about the way they're depicted. The mangaka makes a scene or event that can be impactful but then turns it to almost a joke or something very trivial when it could be serious and could've contributed to the overall plot
