so for starters, that's not what it says. The exact quote is:

Capturing targets is a way to train your stats in the game, but it is explicitly not the only way.

Setting that aside, it is an absurd leap of logic to go from "you can gain stats by increasing your favorability" to "the only way to gain magic power is by transferring it through a mucous membrane". Are you sure you didn't get mixed up with The Helpless Saint and the Powerless Princess?
i was certainly thinking of that in shared terminology, but no. Im reading too much into trope logic. The only stats that matter are Max Mana, Mana Regen, and Magical Control however, since well. How much you can do, how effectively you can do it with what you have, and how often can you do it.

Yeah.. totally didnt call she'd just magically regrow her hand next chapter like its nothing.. why make her lose it to begin with then 😮‍💨

It's honestly just bad plot and wasted opportunities
Author: Hits the exact target everyone knew they were aiming for.

Some Random Guy: Reeeeeeeee, the author didn't hit the target that I arbitrarily set up!

Not gonna lie, I was sort of hoping she'd be without her hand a bit longer, to give her some consequences. At least her regrowing her hand wasn't just a snap of the fingers. It was a slow, agonizing process that took time.

Of course the first thing the prince thinks is "Oh hurr durr my pride! There's no way she actually regrew her hand which I Iiterally witnessed her lose. She must be mocking me!"

Thank gods the engagement is over. That bratty prince was a terrible match for Amelia.

Let the yurification commence!

ch4 when Serina is explaining knight training class. the only way to train stats is acquire boyfriends.

Im articulating what Serina said on the ASSUMPTION its not a game mechanic. Presumably Serina would experience the same effects and benefits, but to a much more significant degree, when she finally kisses Almelia. I also dont see why this effect would be exclusive to mouth-to-mouth kissing, or why it cant also be performed by Blood Oath.

Im identifying where the latest it can be based on significant societal defining milestones in technology and not the general period those times are adhered to. there actually is an industrial revolution that happened before the main one that we ignore because of the much more exciting wars of colonialism and wars of royal succession that happened at the other end of the 18th century, which saw the proliferation of water wheel powered factories in both brittain and the north american colonies.

1: Barring Mr Flammel, we have literally never seen an adult in the series who isnt part of the waitstaff or a serving Guard Knight.
2: we dont know who or how Estelle got her pre-Academy Education, and everyone else has private tutors, which can put you anywhere from the dawn of human civilization until, ironically for what you claim, the end of the Napoleonic Wars and the beginning of the high industrial revolution.
3+4: dont mean anything. Few artists are going to be putting in the kind of effort to explain clothing and architecture movements in a historical sense. the clothing, at least outside of the flashbacks to Earth Serina, read to me as "Fantasy High Class with cosplay maids", while the architecture is literally indecipherable to the period since its all timberframed with stucco walls, and thats assuming theyre not painting the walls white. then you have interior sills on the windows from Versailles and the Celesbrite manor has god damn welded aluminum and glass fencing around it. In fact looking at it it looks like what architecture is there, i feel like it was designed jointly by the author and artists by emailing Sims 4 Plots to eachother.
5: you mean the structure of monarchies before the Age of Absolutism or the formation of Parliaments? where maintaining vassal's Fealty was less by government order and the threat of national arms, and instead at the behest of political favors and walking the tightrope of political moderatism? Because the Japanese Otome Princess Dating Sim trope doesnt make sense with their power dynamics and conflicts for an Absolute monarchy, Elective Monarchy, or Constitutional Monarchy. These kids arent clearly told "youre going to marry Mrs Bitch to keep the Warhawks in line, youre going to marry Mr Stick-up-his-Ass to keep the Libertarians in line, and youre going to be prime minister so you have to marry Mrs Holds-40%-of-the-National-Economy to keep the peasants in line for your brother."

Just to be clear since you dont even touch on it. Do you think it's ok or not to make comparisons to real world time periods? It is an easy question. If you can't even answer that. Then i wont make an effort explaining my arguments.

1: Oooh thats another good reason to my list, thank you. The way maids and knights is presented is also clearly not medieval and something much later.
2: I am talking about the Academy, something that evolve MUCH later out of churches and monasteries. The only education available in medieval times to even noble children if you dont count monastic schools where home tutors. Heck! Some people even call the rise of universities the end of the medieval era, i don't but at the same time they are not wrong either.
3+4 It sure means something. Just because you personally dont want to aknowlege that doesnt mean the influence is not there, because it is. The styles are obviously not inspired by any Antiquity, Roman or Medieval time periods thats for sure.

it depends on whether its trying to, or trying to not, invoke historic context. this series gives literally 0 fucks towards that since it throws the characters into highschool in ch2, and as i pointed out the Celesbrite estate has a type of fencing that is literally only machine made because it has to be hotcast onto a bed of liquid iron.

Theres clear logic external to the period being made to design the outfits, specifically the Male outfits are supposed to look professional and formal, while women's outfits are all designed to emphasize the breasts. Everyone is Eyecandy, its why i went and CHECKED what the backgrounds actually were and started laughing when i realized that the architecture looks like i could watch Chip and Johanna refurbish it over in texas, not something i would ever see in Europe or Japan.

The Academy has nothing to do with religious organized education except in the nature of how it tinges the fundamental process of education in our current day and age. As i pointed out, the Academy isnt operating in ways that suggest it matches Colleges of the Era, nor is it as focused as Universities of the era. Its a modern Private Highschool dumped into a fantasy world.

Theres a reason i accused this series of "
This premise legitimately doesnt deserve writing as good as this series has.
"
The writing is very good. The Art is functionalist at best really. The Premise is a 5 Alarm Dumpsterfire packed to the brim with fireworks

No. The most old european university, Bologna, was founded in 1088. Totally NOT the end of the Medieval age. Historians propose 3 dates for the end of middle age: The return of the Pope to Rome (1377), Fall of Constantinople (most international consensus) or Discovery of the american continent (the definition with most consent in southern europe before Cristoforo Colombo become controversial).
While some universities were evolved from Cathedral schools, many did evolve separately with no involvement from the clergy.
What can confound here is that universities for being founded needed "papal or princely privilege" (so either religious or secular authority's approval) and that both teacher and students had a simil-clergy status involving some protections (right to travel, trials only in internal or ecclesiastical court, immunity to the right or reprieve, etc) and judicial autonomy (in some case still present in some modern university as the right to asylum), as affirmed first by Frederik I Barbarossa and later reaffirmed multiple times in history. Alas this reliance of Canon Law is the main legal point that prevented woman to be students.

BTW depending on the course and university the general admission age range was from 14 to 30 years old.

That prince is such a piece of shit.
Your Pride is more important than unprecedented healing magic that wouldn't have been discovered if not for your blunder?! Ha?! Not only that you attack the victim of your mistake when you came to apologize. Cut him out of the line of succession. The country will go up in flames if he's on the throne.

More importantly Serina can finally make Almelia happy. Let it be known that the biggest Sapphic Supporter is Estelle.

I liked the fact that despite her regrowing her hand, it DID require effort, and I'm sure how excruciating the process was influenced why Almeia reacted so strongly.

Nah, im not gonna take this discussion when you will act judge of what comparison is allowed and what comparison is not. Thats not how a genuine exchange of opinions, thoughts and ideas work. What you are really after is obvious.

You are historicaly correct. Although i do stand by that there are some historians that want to argue that when the Papacy started to loose controll over education is when the medieval period ends, i talked with them. But as i said, i dont agree with them.

But the context of the point you are quoting me by is not correct. And it actually proves my original point. Thank you.

2: Education not being controlled by the church

We have no indication so far that there is intent for Historical context beyond "Standard Fantasy "Mideval" Feudal society" because literally every point you could reference either can be pointed to as anachronistic to every other part. I was thinking of The Saga of Tanya the Evil and Im in Love with the Villainess here as prominent examples. by ch10, you are well aware of how the world differs from earth and how this is a WW1 you are familiar with elements of, but not the whole of what shape it will take will be for the saga, while in IILwV, you still havent really gotten the French Revolution context outside of the initial chapter. Theres the framework of conflict where the protagonist is there because of a labor shortage and this is causing friction, but it could be france or london for popular parallels at that moment

The Meta Conflict is so far really only the Goldhazes vs the Celesbrites, as Laktasha comes off as too sadistically douchy towards Serina and Almelia beyond just her own perceived slight that she lost the engagement to Almelia.

youre claiming education controlled by a church we have never seen evidence of, and i called out specifically that private tutors were the standard until the High Industrial Revolution made it infeasible due to the magnitude of human labor demanded by industrialization and corporatization, while the form of school we see doesnt exist until really the 1900s.

This is a series set in an entirely different dimension with a history completely untethered from our own where magic exists. Trying to pin down things via historical elements is an exercise in futility.

At least I can say that the modern education system has had positive effects on isekai victims...
