If you find it difficult to find/work with a proofreader, I personally think a free online grammar checker works fine as long as you use it right, and could even help your English in the long run (if that matters to you).• ok
• yeah notice that problem too, in last pages , I stopped putting shadow.
• it will be hard really! But I will try to find someone! I have social anxiety on a different level.
Absolutely do not use ChatGPT or w/e for your grammar checks. Wtf is wrong with people? Just throw it into a word processor or even Google Docs and it should catch some of the most obvious issues that whatever grammar check you used did not.If you find it difficult to find/work with a proofreader, I personally think a free online grammar checker works fine as long as you use it right, and could even help your English in the long run (if that matters to you).
If you're interested in what I would suggest:
Edit: thanks for the translation!
- Focus on having 0 errors (usually highlighted/underlined red), and don't worry about style/phrasing suggestions (usually highlighted in green or yellow)
- You don't necessarily have to fix the sentence the way it's suggested if you think it changes the meaning - prioritizing rewording/restructuring the sentence to fit how you think it's best translated often feels more satisfying or "right".
- If you do the top two things, most sentences will sound natural/easy to read.
- If you want a recommendation, I use Grammarly, but I can't speak for how reputable it is.
It was a snap thing, though.the shadows on the first third of the chapter inhibit legibility without benefit, and the font itself is bubbly enough that reading is not just a snap thing. I dont think pure consistency is king, but having rules is very important which is what was failed here.
Its why i specified very specific things about the MCs and then the side characters get simple requirements. Almelia is extremely rigid and serious, so she gets a very regimented font. Serena gets a girlygirl font, and Amelia would get something plain like Ariel.
And that is meaningless, since the scanlator can use whatever font, and this one has done an honestly great job of making it so much more fun whilst still easy to read. That’s not how to typeset. Using different fonts for different characters is one of the most common mistakes for beginner typesetters to make. You’ll notice that published manga almost never does this.
the text is so deformed that reading took adjusting to the font before interpretation was possible. That inherently means its not a snap ledgible font for most people, and as my username intrinsically references, i have at times been able to directly read Matoran Script which is one of the least legible normally. It was a snap thing, though.
No amount of bubbly outline changes that.
If needed i can do some proofreading.• ok

Yeah, some really toxic people in this thread. 4 months with no uploads, and this guy puts in work to try to translate something, and lots of people acting like it's the worst thing ever. Lots of constructive criticism, for sure, but lots of just unreasonable hate, and then those same people wonder why we're always so short on translators for stuff that isn't Shounen Jump? This thread has been a whole experience.
Hey, I love that you're taking feedback positively. Look forward to seeing your next.
