Super happy that this is back. plus it's so funny again as Almeria gets jealous of her maids getting taken away lol
B. Really her name is Almelia? I thought it would Almeria... If that's the case I will change it back, to next chapter.I agree with these but would also like to add
Otherwise thank you for the translation I am really happy someone is continuing to work on this.
- revert your changes of A. magic fortification and B. Almelias name. The first one just makes the ability a little less clear in what it does and the second one is just an English name spelled wrong which is off-putting.
Thing is that Enchant in fantasy context has a different connontation to it.B. Really her name is Almelia? I thought it would Almeria... If that's the case I will change it back, to next chapter.
A. I am not really sure about reverting it back , because Japanese that was used was maryoku (magic) 強化 (kyoka) "kyo" means power/strength and "ka" means covering it with ...
While Fortification means building defense or something! In previous chapters we saw it can used it strengthing one part of body too! So it works more like enchantment!
Buddy ain't it your third comment? jokes aside1) Consistency. Switching fonts, styles, colours, shadings and size is annoying, unless it is done for dramatic purposes or to emphasize some emotion.
1.1) However, if the original work doesn't use any such changes, you should avoid any such changes as the translator.
2) Translate it. Translate it fully or not at all. This isn't 2004, we don't need etos and anos and such. Only things left untranslated and even those can be argued against are the addressing suffixes, ie. -chan -san and so on.
3) Typesetting. This
is not how to typeset.
Try to fit things in the bubble they are intended to be in. If one bubble has just a single word and the next one is a wall of text. Improvise. End result should still be with the panel containing the delivered message balanced well between the various bubbles.
4) Hyphenating. It is allowed. If you can't fit in something neatly within the bubble, do hyphenate. You shouldn't however over hyphenate in comics. The medium was never ment for it.
5) Profit
Anyhow, thank you for picking up the series. Hopefully you aren't dispirited by the heaps of criticism and commentary thrown upon you. Whatever the future be, it was an amusing and a different read. Reminded me indeed of the early days of fan scans.

Have fun
Fortification would be better then? I will add it thenThing is that Enchant in fantasy context has a different connontation to it.
You enchant a weapon or an armour, not a person usually. Sure you can take it back to its roots and argue it just means "bewitched" etc, but generally speaking, enchanting means bewitching objects not people.
Sure you can fortify your position on this thing, and in the end it is up to you, but you can take our strengthened, buffed and enhanced advice into consideration.
Wait until you learn of the VHS scene...There were Translators(fan) in 2004 ? I was not even bron yet)
Madologist too gave me an guide , I will check them out in night , I need to catch up with my Winter 2024 anime watchlistQuick and dirty typesetting guide, which is really needed here. Translation quirks aside, it's physically hard to read sometimes.
Comic Sans my belovedComic Sans.
Would still be an improvement.
B. I could be wrong but from what I know L and R are interchangeable in Japanese but are very much not so in English. I assume the name was taken and modified from the English name Amelia and thus would be Almelia in English. but, I could be very wrong if it is simply a Japanese name that is very similar.B. A. Here I too have problem, they using it too cover there weapon, and sometime only weapon aside for there body ! So I am really really torn to what to use ! I will make up my mind next chapter.B. A. Fortification can and is used to mean strengthen. whereas enchantment is used for adding an effect on something. so if the spell could also be used to say make something emit light that would be an enchantment. But, if it only increases durability and strength, fortification would be clearer in what it does.
I will then search about VHS Scene then?Wait until you learn of the VHS scene...
But if you really want to date me, I predate as a hobbyist timed karaokes and even Dattebayo.
At the end of the day, it's Your translation, choose the words you feel are right. So don't stress too much about what we suggest.A. Only the realest otaku remember buying fansubbed VHSs off that sweaty weirdo at anime cons back in the 90s. I still have my fansubbed copy of Dragon Half I bought back in '93.2. I explained this problem in other comment.( There were Translators(fan) in 2004 ? I was not even bron yet)
Translation-wise I've been up to date, it's just the typesetter that I hadn't heard anything from. (Not easy to keep track of them on an anonymous imageboard.)That's Crazy, just 3 hours after I made a post in the previous chapter wondering if the previous TL had said anything about if they are dropping or anything about their status since it's been 4 months
Yeah there is really a province named Almeria in south-eastern Spain. I just cheked the map a bitAt the end of the day, it's Your translation, choose the words you feel are right. So don't stress too much about what we suggest.
Also, it turns out I AM very wrong about the name. After some searching, it seems to be the name of a Spanish city that has been since used as a first name.
