This broke bitch and her needy spawn Jesus Christ as if she isn’t living rent free already

What sort of presumptuous brat asks a gift from their LANDLORD

Something a father should have taught her better of…

This poor fool strung along as a convenient wallet.. I hope we get a happy ending where he kicks them back out and finds true love, with someone who actually respects him and his time (and his money: ie, time sacrificed into material form)

There are two possibilities for their break up.

First, the forced marriage from her families. I suspected that when she said " There is some family trouble", in the flashback on chp 15.

Or the other possibilities, are she get raped or some ntr shit, when they cannot see each other, and she dropped out from uni with the child.

But i really hope the other possibilities didnt happened :meguuusad: .

MC should do the ultimate flex of dominance. Reject the chick and proceed to bang the daughter
on top of her father's grave. LMAO

Finally I can discuss this in MD once again. Great to see more titles migrating back.
So, I read ch 16,
apparently the father died in an accident before the daughter is born. before she could even put him in the birth certificate. idk if they were in love or something
. tbh it's a lazy explanation, but it is what it is.
Still a bit puzzling to me
I mean, normally it shouldn't be too difficult to put the father's name in the birth certificate even after his death; generally there's a 9-10 month period where it'll be assumed the child is from the deceased (or even divorced) father. Only explanation I can think of is they didn't even legally married, so proofing it will be much more complicated (I still don't think its impossible, but probably not worth the hassle)

There are still two things that really bother me: first, their breakup—how she did it and, more importantly, why. That absolutely needs to be addressed at some point. Second, the whole story about the father… she says the guy died, which is why his name isn’t even on the records, but the way it was told was so vague and strange that it just doesn’t add up.

This was supposed to be a more mature relationship, yet so far it’s been nothing but silence, avoidance, and “let’s not talk about it and hope things work out.” The MC, as he admitted, never truly forgot her. And then, out of nowhere, she shows up almost two decades later at his door with a daughter—and asks to stay? How is that supposed to make sense?

The only explanation that could bring some coherence is if the MC himself is actually the father—since in chapter 15 it was clear they were intimate enough for that. Maybe her “family problems” and sudden breakup were tied to a pregnancy. Perhaps she didn’t want to burden him while he was finishing college and pursuing his career as a painter. At least that would make narrative sense. But right now, it just feels like the author (and the FMC) are throwing random drama together and hoping it sticks.

And seriously—there’s no way nobody notices that the daughter clearly has her mother’s features (like hair), but the same face, eyebrows, and expressions as him. How is everyone ignoring that?

But hey, maybe that’s just me clinging to some wishful thinking about a pure and wholesome love story (even with the Asian nonsense of "let's not talk about problems), and even if the timeline doesn’t really add up—it’s pure copium. Still, I’m really hoping the girl is his daughter, or at least connected to her family. Otherwise, she’s truly something else… showing up after all these years, after breaking up out of nowhere, with someone else’s daughter, to the guy who could never forget her? That would make both the author and the FMC just plain cruel.

And honestly, why are people still putting spoiler tags for earlier chapters? If you’re already on chapter 17, it’s not a spoiler anymore…

Not gonna lie, there is so much talking in this manga the only thing I remember is they were both dating once upon a time.
I see people talking about progression but I don't see any "real progression", maybe I'm just not reading thoroughly enough.

I haven't read this in a while, I wanna re-read it. But! I have to know is he trying to date the mother or the daughter? If it's the daughter I'll pass.

Pointing at the "3 years between their breakup and the daughter's birth" sign again and again until my fucking index finger falls off

"And even if the timeline doesn't add up", if you read all I wrote, maybe your index finger will not fall off.

Chap 16 gives major details about that.
By "major" you mean the president of the nothing burger club. It would have been better left unexplained. Now all the air of "mystery" since the start feels absolutely retarded. Also his name not being on birth certificate makes no fucking sense unless it was out of wedlock which open whole another can of worms.

I think author tried to write wholesome slop with a bait and switch but failed the bait so incompetently that now he can't salvage the premise.

I have a hunch that the author themselves wants to brush it aside and just do random cutesy slice of life stuff, which makes me wonder why they even bothered to start the story with such a heavy topic if they seemingly are afraid to go too in depth about it.

bait and switch brother. We meet at Lemon threads every two weeks yes? :D Literally the same basic premise. Start outrageous, don't explain shit (if they force your hand, just retcon), and act like this was an wholesome romance all along.
