Many titles have horrible pacing, it feels like a drag and readers drop like flies. In Kiraboshi Ojou, Hideki must have thought there were so many pages to go on until the editor whispered that the next chapter will be last. Chiisai no body Haru is another that comes to mind. It's sort of similar to how most manga are planned for two-three volumes, and if they sell well and get popular, they're expanded. But if the content hasn't been well planned, they have a tendency to lose what made them interesting to begin with. You see this a lot of times really, manga that continues beyond their planned volumes usually lose their steam fast. It's honestly more the rule than the exception.
Others just overstay their welcome, way too much. Starts stalling with unnecessary drama. Sono Bisque Doll I am looking at you right now. How does Marin’s character actually regress that much? Until the author only learns when it gets forcibly cancelled. In the Western world it’s called jumping the shark.
Novels are not immune from this, Ore ni Trauma (Glancing at me) keeps going post forgiveness whereas 4 colour goddesses know where to stop.
Though this title is already DOA from the first chapter. Yes it’s that bad. Even Hideki has better writing for the initial chapters than this one to get grab attention. Maybe because Hideki got titles cancelled before knows the value of using space and exposition properly.
