Ah yes, reminds me of the old online games that require the player to kill a field boss that respawns randomly and only once in a while to complete a quest, but only the player with the last hit get the clear (and item drop + exp). Even worse when the rare drop was useful for higher level characters as well.

Also encountering it alone when underleveled and got smacked, but when appropriately leveled and have the quest the entire playerbase seems to be there to engage the boss in a free for all.

Well they haven't really incorporated Meruru's skillset into that fight. But it was a good check move they did against the BB, now they know its moveset, capabilities and limitations (at least from what they have seen so far)

Not just that, in term of battle royale, Allen summon have advantage as they have intelligence+squad leader for more intricate tactic.
