Honestly it was my favourite parts of this series, the gag of how faithful Mimori was but our girl just having a one track mind. If this is actually going the way of a love triangle I'd be sad

It would genuinely be extremely terrible of both Mimori and Sakaki to do that after all the trouble Sakurako went through to finally start dating Mimori. Sakaki playing with the thought of liking him, right in front of Sakurako, is already pretty bad (but I give it a pass because it's meant to be the whole funny "cosmic manga trope forcing her into that role" gag).

The next panel should also be "guy" and not "girl."

I do get her frustration in that situation, though. At the same time she's upset he never seems to get in that kinda mood when they're alone AND SHE'S CARRYING A CONDOM AROUND SPECIFICALLY FOR WHEN HE GETS IN THAT KINDA MOOD, her rival (presumed) can get him in that kinda mood without any effort at all. Granted, she never sees his struggle to fight that mood, just the aftermath of his struggle. It's not surprising she's upset.

What they need to do is talk seriously about what they want to happen in their relationship. But that's difficult for both of them given their lucky-pervert history together before dating. He's uncomfortable with his own body thanks to that, which in turn makes her uneasy about her attractiveness to him regardless of what he says. And that feeds into her already deep-rooted complex about losing the guy in the first place.

I have not seen a decent reason to why the heroine "deserves" a better dude whatever the hell that means. The idea she "deserves" a better dude for her because you find her cute is just plain stupidity and is just you putting your feelings above the character's in question desire and wants.

You just don't like the dude despite the fact he really isn't that bad of a boyfriend. He's made a couple mistakes and they always were able to iron out the problems for the most part. Also please do not act like our dumb heroine is some unfortunate saint. Remember the lewd Internet posting she was doing because she liked the attention? I do.
