@bullmoose I think it also extends to crazy K-Pop fans, because god forbid they actually enter in a relationship.

I think the problem revolves around people putting those individuals (either Idols, KIdols, streamers, etc.) on a pedestal, as if they had to be the perfect human beings just for yourself. It's a common fantasy. And this arises mostly because the industry itself encourages this kind of behavior since, you know, it yields more money. If you look at the audience of more down to earth streamers or HoloIdols like Marine (that even though she's 'horny' 24/7 is the one who can keep her audience in check the most), you won't find much of that.

Sadly, this happens a lot in real life in K-pop, J-pop and so on, as an idol you can do certain mistakes, but god forbid you if you have a bf/gf cuz then your fans will be pissed off, its a really toxic enviroment.

This is something that always confused me about idol fans. Like why do you care so much about who your favorite idol dates? It’s not like you’re gonna date her. You have an exact 0% chance of ever dating your favorite idol. She’s going to date someone at some point and it won’t be you. It’s her life and she can do what she wants with it. Her world doesn’t revolve around someone she doesn’t even know.

Lovely, my advice for people who lose viewers because of this? own it. those people generally aren't real devoted fans. just continue doing your best for the fans that truly like you for what you do instead of worrying about those people. of course it's easier said because most donations come from those simps, but if you can live off of some other source of income, you don't really need to worry about the donations.

You're right, this problem is in every part of the world that have those types of celebrities, thing is that those obsessed fucks over at Japan take it to another level, I remember one idol getting her head shaved when she was found out having a romantic relationship with a man, and another getting stabbed. Since then it got somewhat better but ultimately the idol industry is a tumor that's filled with shit up to the eyebrows, from the production to the community.
