I get the feeling that Yami is expecting Hikari to extricate herself from this "prank" and then possibly leave her alone. But, Hikari being Hikari, she'll probably end up talking or even walking along with the creep for a while, not knowing what to do. Just long enough for Yami to feel guilty and rescue her (from the situation Yami put her in in the first place, but still...). Then they become friends! Yay!

Also, "peddle stool" is one of the funnier manglings of "pedestal".

I really hope the author actually focuses on the SA here and not gloss it over. If they write Hikari forgiving Yami and moving on then Hikari is going to be the real one dimensional character

Can you elaborate? Does the author pull major redemptive arcs? Make folks unredeemable but everyone in their orbit is drawn to them? Make one vertex of a love triangle so unlikable you're forced to root for the other edge?

The author likes to write messy relationships and flawed people. There won't be any kinda moral highgrounds for the other characters to stand on or for Yami to find her way up to.

She was forced to because her family situation was so uniquely terrible and all demanding that fighting with her mom all the time left her absolutely no time or energy for her boyfriend who she absolutely had to keep this all a secret from so she wouldn't ruin her mystique.

Yami, working overtime to find ways to ruin her own life just so she can be sad about it

Yeah, like I've had much older guys propositioning me and it's terrifying in the moment. Brain just goes absolutely blank and it's like is the situation even real. And some of these have been in situations where I've had a lot more power (control) than Hikari has in the middle of a street

wait i missed something, how do you know it was an app? i thought she only sent the pic to the ojisan as a prank on hikari, to show him what "she" looks like at the meeting place

So far Hikari seems to very much have the moral high ground. Not sure what the author could write that would make her lose it that would be consistent with her characterization.
