She did nothing wrong guys
What did Yuu do? The worst thing he did (if you want to take it in the worst way) was ditch her during the culture festival to kiss her best friend. Even then, she hasn't given him any DIRECT clarification on her emotions so he isn't cheating on her. To the best of our knowledge, Yuu has no idea about how fucked Yami "is" or what she "did" to Hikari (this is assuming that it was Yami who did that and not a jealous classmate (knowing trashy rom-dramas it probably was and this next arc is about Yami "saving" her)).OK this is the last straw for me, Hikari needs to drop both of them when we finally get back to the present, idc if they became friends, thats a fucked up thing to do. Watch how it wasn't ayami who did this, I really want to see how the author swerves this to show that it wasn't actually yami who set up a fake dating page for hikari.
Yeah... The Yami boat I'm in is starting to sink.Yeah, even I, a Yami simp, can't defend her this time
Edit: I realized I wrote can instead of can't lmao
We know?Guys you cannot be this lost.. This is only their second encounter. This is before they hung out in the pool, this is before everything even happened. The kiss happens way in the future.
People keep trying to reference white album 2.The more I look at these comments, the more obvious it is that pretty much everybody who's reading this hasn't read White Album 2. Which is a shame. There's a lot of similar beats Maruto extracts from his best work to utilize here, including the one from this chapter.
Some of them are not exactly well suited for a modern audience or for characters we've not seen grow up/had enough time for them to grow up or for highschoolers in particular. But they are part of a proven success and so it makes me wonder which of these characters he's drawing connections or parallels between. It seemed to me up until now like he was treating Hikari like Setsuna and Yami like Kazusa but it's not quite so perfect.
I get that; I'm objecting to the focus on emotion when the anxiety spiral is I think what the author would push on if that's the endgame with Hikari. In large part cause that's how they already played it with Aya - her insecurity spiral kept getting bigger until she ghosts, and that's when she has the big emotional breakdown.I'm not trying to attack Hikari's personality or anything, guys. I'm just commenting on where I think the author will take her character from what we've already seen, based on what I know of his style.
Considering this is a flashback we might see Yami or Yuu saving herWTF YAMI, She better save Hikari from this
Yami is still by far the best girl. Nothing will ever change that. She deserves to win the Yuu bowl. Author saw how interesting and the attention she was getting, even more than Hikari and has been trying to change it. Hikari is mid asf. Yami clears.
