Mind Flayer is one of the most nasty monster in DND catalogue. They are usually utilised by DM as boss monster in role playing heavy campaign as their high intelligence is pretty good.

As a bonus, Mind Flayer favourite food is brain, where they can gain the memories of their prey, which means they are pretty nasty in the end game of campaign. They may work with other creatures that brainwashed by Mind Flayer.

Another monster with nasty potential aside from Mind Flayer would be demon in DnD. Demon and Devil has clear distinction in DnD world.
