It's also very child book coded, which is nice 🙂
It's because of the art, I really love the artstyle in this.
Most of the time it looks childish but well drawn, like what you would see in a little little red riding-hood manga for kids.
But then there are these beautiful spreads and double pages and detailed panel composition in fights.

Ok making a guess. I think the charm works when you fear death.
So Gunko will be immune.

On other point now i understand why her first true warrior foe is a incubus.

They will be literally in love with each other in the middle of their fight. They most likely are literally everything the other desires.

It does in both style and composition, my skizo take is that at times the art feels almost Benito Jacovitti coded, and one of its most famous comic is a Pinocchio adaptation from the original Collodi's novel

That must be a japanese saying that's often lost in translation, it can't be coincidence.
The most memed one is actually just case of missing context.
The context being character that didn't die when he was killed on multiple occasions said it was not how it's supposed to be when giving up death defying artifact.
But most common is "it's over when you dead" kind of meaning with emphasis on value of own life.

I can already foresee Ginko convincing him to accept his ability and use his incubus eye on her. Maybe even taking it head on too

I think the charm will work for Ginko but her battle lust is just that strong that she'll fight the incubus even when charmed.

Definitively one of the most interesting ways I've seen waku waku being portrayed. There's like, actual depth. Usually nowadays it's just flanderized Super Goku-tier and they call it a day.

Incubus: "... Why does my charm not work on you?"

Ginko: "Those madly in love with battle are impervious to any seduction techniques."

It's not that important, but how did they even find where Ginko's group was? It's not like they were traveling a road or something.
