Thx for the TL!

man idk how to feel with Tsubasa, yes ofc mc is dense, but even if he wasn't dense, it still wouldv'e been awkward for everyone or rather him to answer her feelings in front of everyone else (or really lily). I feel bad for her, i just wished she confess when it was just those two seperately. But if she does sleep with that guy, why is it always the trophe of when you get rejected, go sleep with the first person who treats you with any kindness. i don't get that.
Thinking on it more - I think Tsubasa understandably panicked in the moment with everything everyone was saying, and went to shoot her shot without considering the circumstances, setting, or ramifications. I don't blame her, but I also don't really know how else it could have gone - if only because they still need the sharehouse and they can't date, much less whatever Tsubasa proposed here, while they're under that roof.
As far as the coworker making his move - I dunno. I think it could be a good thing, assuming Tsubasa doesn't freak out in the morning, blame it on alcohol and reject him, and if he doesn't react poorly to that. Maybe it's the first step to her moving on. Maybe it's the first step to her learning not to simply turn to alcohol to kill her feelings. Maybe it's setting the stage for more drama (likely whatever the case).

With lily yea im also sad, but not surprised mc was scared to confirm his and her honest feelings.
I had so hoped they'd have their Big Talk when was driving her around, instead of the time-skip we got of his tour for her. But no, they still haven't talked, and Hiromi's still under the impression that Lily wanted to end things, so he did exactly what I expected him to do here, and try and offer a bit of closure.
Sucks for Lily, but, that's kinda just the result of how they'd left stuff. Like Tsubasa, no groundwork was attempted prior to the big declaration, and that's....just not how you get the results you want, generally speaking.

This has become so difficult for me to follow. Every time a new chapter goes up I have to go back and read again just so I have a grasp on what's even going on.
I was going to say, welcome to Sasuga Kei experience, but it just sounds like you have bad memory
That aside, he thinks Lili wants closure, which is just because neither of them are actually talking, still, or having a true sit-down; I'd hoped that would happen when he was driving her around that one night, but, alas.
So from his perspective, he did what he thought was correct there, and that's just the breaks for Lili.
in the case of Lili, it was 100% the more natural response, what was she thinking he was going to say at that moment, like he just indirectly reject tanizawa and there was another person still there.
What I'm mostly curious about is what's going to happen when Tsubasa wakes up in the morning. No clue how plastered she was by that point (she'd been drinking prior, and she didn't fully appear "sloppy" like she has in the past when she's going around topless in front of Hiromi), so I guess it remains to be seen if she tries to blame the one-night-stand on alcohol, resist her coworker trying to pursue things further, or what.
Does she try to pretend nothing happened, and renew her resolve to go after Hiromi even after what he said? If she does, and her coworker continues trying to pursue her, that could make things quite messy for her as far as Hiromi is concerned, especially if she tries to actively bury that she slept with the guy at the hotel.
(She didn't do anything wrong, so it's not like she's obligated to say or not say anything; it's her life and business, but she is now tied to that coworker, so if he makes assumptions that he has a chance and she doesn't fully reject him or something and tries to continue after Hiromi, that kinda sets the stage for drama.)
problem here, not sure how it works in Japan, but at least going for the subordinate it's badly seen at the workplace, considered as se*ual harrasment, like not going in the h*ntai route, but she could actually be blackmailed for doing this, I hope author doesn't go that route at least.
I'm with you, as she didn't do anything wrong, it was her choice, but it could be problematic in the work sense and well for herself too, as she will prolly feel very bad tomorrow as she let herself do it, when she hasn't had a private talk with hiromi.

Honestly, this chapter left me with mixed emotions.

First, Tsubasa. She tries to confess her feelings to Hiromi. Now, I get why Hiromi didn’t respond the way she thought he would or wanted him to. He’s right, before this moment she never gave him any real hint that she had feelings for him, so of course he wouldn’t understand. And to be fair, he didn’t really let her down, he just treated her like a close friend. If she had more confidence in herself, she could have doubled down and said, “No, I want to be with you in a real relationship.” That might have caught him off guard, but at least then he would have understood without Anju needing to spell it out that Tsubasa has been in love with him for a long time.

Instead, knowing how much she lacks confidence, she turns around and sleeps with another guy. I can’t be mad at her, but I’m still disappointed. Hiromi didn’t really reject her, he just didn’t know what she meant. She felt so low that she couldn’t recognize that, and instead of clarifying her feelings, she used her depression as a reason to sleep with someone else. I don’t hate her for it, but I don’t like how she handled it either.

She let a moment where she could have been clear about her feelings slip through her fingers, and instead she sank into depression and made a decision that, in my opinion, was not the right one. Because how was Hiromi supposed to know she had feelings for him when she never told him directly? She might have expressed it to everyone else, but not to him. Of course he wouldn’t pick up on it.

Now, I’ll admit, it feels a little two-faced for me to come down too hard on her, since Hiromi has already slept with other girls in the series and was about to with Nonoka. That’s why I’m not totally upset. Still, I can’t agree with Tsubasa’s actions in this chapter. That’s just my opinion.

What I did kind of like was that, for once, Hiromi’s obliviousness worked in his favor. Take Lili for example. The last time she talked to him, she broke up with him. So why would he think she traveled all the way to Wakayama to get back together? Nobody would assume that, especially when three other girls suddenly show up around the same time. Of course he’s going to play it cool.

But personally, I don’t want them to get back together. The way Lili broke up with him, their unresolved issues, and her emotional immaturity all showed that she didn’t really understand that transparency is essential in a relationship. If you’re feeling some type of way, you need to let your partner know. She could have told him, “Hey, I feel insecure about these other girls making moves on you, I need some reassurance.” But she didn’t.

Meanwhile, when Hiromi made mistakes, he admitted them and tried to talk to her. Instead of understanding his perspective, which he had valid reasons for, she broke up with him. So of course Hiromi isn’t thinking about reconciling now. More likely, he assumes she just wanted to hang out as a friend, because she’s given him no real indication that she wants to get back together.

Overall, this chapter left me with a lot of mixed feelings. We’re all rooting for Tsubasa, I think most of us are. But the way she handled this situation makes me wonder: if they were in a relationship and something went wrong, would she react the same way? I’m not faulting her for sleeping with someone else, but I am disappointed that she did it out of depression.

And finally, I wonder if Hiromi is going to say yes to that date with Nonoka. If I had to predict, I don’t think he will. I think it all circles back to Tsubasa. He’s probably realizing he messed up with her and will try to make things right. My prediction is that he’s going to reach out to her. But hey, I could be wrong. That’s just my opinion.

The other thing that I'd forgotten is that Tsubasa's family thinks she's engaged to Hiromi.
So, yeah.

Also I don't know if Ikeda's a subordinate or just a colleague, I actually need to track down his introduction in the manga and figure out exactly who he is to her. Because that would change the professional dynamic of their hookup, depending on the answer to that, I think.

And I do think it really comes down to how much she drank/how drunk she was when she accepted his advances, and whether she tries to justify it as a mistake by claiming she was too drunk.
There's no way to know until we get the chapter that shows the aftermath, but I've got a whole decision tree in my head of potential paths depending on what she says first the next morning.

I basically have to reserve all judgment on Tsubasa's (Tsubaki's?) actions here until I see what she does the next morning.
Because her reaction to hooking up with Ikeda is the most important part I think, from where I'm sitting - yeah, she slept with him in a moment of emotional vulnerability - but also, how much had she managed to imbibe by that point, to where you could say she was so also so drunk that it "assisted" her choosing the hookup?

Yukari has told Tsu-chan in the past that she's got a really dumb habit (my words) of running straight to alcohol instead of actually dealing with her problems, and I'm wondering if that's a big component of what's gone done here.
Because it's totally understandable if she let herself feel heartbroken and sought comfort, but the question mark of "does she turn around and blame it on being drunk" is a big factor in how things play out from here, I think.

I don't think she did anything wrong, though. If I'm honest, I kinda hope this ends up being the start of her figuring out how to move on from Hiromi. I kinda doubt that, because this setup's such a potent trap for big drama that I don't trust the author to resist the temptation of it.
But Tsu-chan figuring out how to cut down on the alcohol and better get in touch with her emotions away from the volatility that is multiple housemates going after the same guy as her, seems like a good idea in theory.

I think Lili shot herself in the foot by never trying to have an actual follow-up with Hiromi, especially as she's the one who ended it, and then wanted to pick up where they left off. It sucks for her, but she didn't put in the work on the back half, and this is what she's gotten for her lack of effort.

I personally wanted Hiromi to realize he actually had a good thing going back home, could eventually inherit his grandma's place, work at the inn and become the head chef, and rekindle things with Nonoka.
I know that won't happen because that is entirely too vanilla for this author, but it's a good avenue for Hiromi to find some solid, dependable structure to his life and relationships, and would be doing it in the midst of people he has history with and can hopefully feel comfortable opening up around.

But I do hope he accepts the date at least, because even if it's just a one-off thing with Nonoka and it doesn't go anywhere in the long (or even intermediate) term, it might help him figure out his feelings toward relationships a bit more in general ny dating someone he's had history with and who knows him well (at least in the past tense), and give him a clearer picture of what he truly wants going forward. Nonoka kinda reminds me of Yukari in terms of "seeming to have it together", so a "mature" bit of experience with her might do him some favors, since his only other relationships were his toxic ex, and Lili.
And if nothing else, it might also make him realize there's nothing there for them, and thus nothing in his hometown for him, and he can go back to Tokyo with a clear conscience knowing he didn't leave unanswered questions/plot lines back home.

Now, I totally understand where you're coming from, and I respect your decision to wait until the next chapter to see how things play out before making any judgment on Tsubasa's actions. However, I don’t know if I can fully agree with that.

If we factor in both the previous chapter and this one, her backstory shows that she has a history of letting her insecurities get the best of her. You’re right that her insecurities have led her to drinking, and that is true. But in the previous chapter, she even notes that she admires Anju for being so direct. Then, when Tsubasa finally tries to be direct herself, instead of doubling down on her confession or clarifying what she meant, she backs down and interprets Hiromi’s confusion as a rejection, even though he didn’t understand what she was trying to say.

That moment played directly into her insecurities. She took it as an indirect rejection, but it wasn’t one. If it had been an actual rejection, Hiromi would have at least understood where she was coming from when she confessed. He didn’t see it that way simply because he had no idea she had those kinds of feelings for him.

This lack of confidence is what drove her to drink, and because of that, she ended up sleeping with her coworker. Yes, you can say alcohol played a role, but keep in mind she’s a 27-year-old woman. This likely isn’t her first time drinking heavily or making this kind of decision. She was vulnerable, and she let that vulnerability take control, which is why she slept with her coworker.

That’s why I’m still very disappointed. Being drunk can remove fear, but it doesn’t erase the reasons behind why she did what she did. At the end of the day, she just wanted to feel wanted, and her coworker gave her that in the moment, but that moment was created off a misunderstanding, not an actual rejection.

Now, it’s possible this could lead to her moving on from Hiromi, but if the writer takes it in that direction, I’d find it disappointing. It would feel that way because we never really got to see her properly pursue Hiromi, or at least go on a date with him to see if something could work. If this is her way of moving on, I’d be disappointed, but I’d also understand.

Like I said from the start, I’m not angry with her, but I am very disappointed in her actions in this chapter. If the next chapter reveals she was just drunk and nothing more, then I’ll gladly take that back. But chapters 49 and 50 clearly show a pattern of vulnerability and the actions that come with it.
