@ryuna dont worry, the next arc is after a timeskip, when they are happily married and their kid (you wanted kids, right?) gets peacefully taken away by aliens from Star Wars. And it is totally canon, and not at all something I will ever admit to being otherwise

in reality, next "arc" is iirc just an epilogue, and the blood thing is just author addressing a... not plot hole, but kinda. And I have no clue why the manga decided to foreshadow it at all, as it seemed very minor to me
