Damn shes brutal. I'm on the fence about her killing everyone. Yes it was brutal but the guys did kill and butcher countless innocent ninyou even the guys dragon wife's final wish was NOT to hurt her kin. Yet he ignored it and killed so many all for the obsession to cure her. His daughter could have had some redemption, but she willingly admitted she had very little guilt in killing and brutalized innocents.

Stupid utopia idealist with genocidal tendencies. Damn, was hoping for her to not be everything I thought she was gonna be when she first said utopia way back when lol
Rip daughter, she was a waste of good character design.
It really doesn't conflict with their ideals. To be honest, they hardly have any strong ideals or convictions other than living for one another

Not really. Mimi got picked up dying on the ground after somehow escaping from being a slave or being sold to that group. Nana's story is similar. (correct me if I'm wrong) If your choice is to do horrible things or die; to do anything or die, that's not a real choice. Sierra didn't have to worry about her life. She only had to worry about the lives of others. Her privilege allowed her to at the very least, not agree with what her father was doing. To not attack and harm other people for her selfish desire that she still decided to cling to at the end of it all. And its not like she died because she only thought her father was right. She died because she decided to be in direct opposition and attack someone else.

I like that the story doesn't absolve anyone of their actions. Nana is doing her best to make up for the wrong that she's done but her situation and Sierra's are not similar at all. And this is something Cattleya understands and and expresses grace towards. She tells her subordinate before the raid to only kill those complicit to the wrong doings. Which is probably why she asked Sierra why she did what she did. And so she paid the price of her actions.
The characters literally disagree with you and I'll go with what they say since they know their entire life story and we don't. It wasn't a choice of do horrible things or die every time. By the time we encountered them in the story, they were strong enough that they could have fled and start a new life elsewhere. It's riskier and would be less comfortable than keeping with their current job but it wasn't automatic death. Nana even says she's doing this job so she doesn't have to live like shit not so that she doesn't die. Furthermore, I don't think Cattleya has expressly forgiven Nana, though I might have missed it when she said so skimming through the old chapters. If Cattleya was alone on that raid then I think she would have iced Nana. And right now Nana is getting a pass because her subordinates are vouching for her. Killing Nana in front of Quna would be a great way to lose loyalty for no gain.
In Sierra's case you are severely underestimating the power of nurture and acting like going against her father(and ruler) and country's customs is a simple thing to do. Just look at the all the inhumane practices that various cultures did throughout history that lasted a long time because no one in that environment thought it was wrong. If characters have an inherent goodness to them, I would say she is just average.

Theyd on't dissagree because I'm not making and excuse for anyone's wrong doing. But the fundamental difference between Mimi and Nana against Sierra feels understated. We clearly see how far individualism goes until someone imposes their will onto you and you're working one step away from slavery. The coercion of it all is pretty significant. Working in proximity of what could happen to them if they were to act out of line is pretty significant.

That is a chasm the size of the grand canyon away from being indoctrinated by the nation around you, that you're implying is Sierra's circumstance. Sierra who committed horrible acts to Nin'you just like her knowing that she'd never be put in that position because of her own privilege. If your customs is systematically killing off a group of people, the only reason you think its normal is because its not happening to you. That's an explanation but its not an excuse like being forced into actually doing harm or you'll die, starve, or be put out with nowhere to sleep or sold off like cattle. Sierra never had to worry about that.

Yes both of them had choices they could have made to not hurt others but the conequences to those choice don't even come close to being the same. The circumstances of those choices don't come close to being the same. And the people who delt with them have different levels of compassion. Do I think Kagura would have spared Sierra... who knows, she was there to help with the death of Mimi and while Kagura goes out of her way to try and not kill anyone, she'll do it. Do I think Cattelya is wrong to kill Sierra? No, she was complicit in the death of not just many Nin'you but Cattelya's own subbordinates. You asseted that Cattleya would kill Nana but that doesn't make any sesne when no one died in that part of the mission. Be distrustful, sure, but Cattelya still hasn't been show to be a thoughtless killer for no reason. Knowing what we know, Sierra woudl killed Mimi and Nana faster than Cattelya would for her own greater good.

I never got the impression that Sierra is just a kid. She seems just as old and Raito and Kagura because she knows the differne between right and wrong ands he still made a wrong choice from a place of privilge to chose somethng elese. Even if that something else was just not participating instead of activly going against her father. Her making that choice is hundreds of times easier than the choices that Nana or Mimi would have had to make. I'm not saying that Sierra doesn't have to compacity to change like Nana and Mimi did but her conequences aren't outlandish for the choices that she made.

Nana: I killed people and helped enslave a bunch of ninyou, but I really didn't want to do it
Cattleya: don't worry you can act as a model for Quna
Gistav: I killed people and helped enslave a bunch of ninyou and don't really regret it
Cattleya: hoho well then, I will kill you unless you help me and tell me who is your boss
Magnus Daughter: I killed people and helped enslave a bunch of ninyou and I regret it a little
Cattleya: welp... good luck next life...
