I mean, I understand that maybe, technically, it would've been better for her to just act like she was a fan-turned-friend for sake of her parents' peace of mind, but I appreciate her honesty here. I think she realized that, in the long run, lying about this would just hurt her and Misumi, especially if they found out about their relationship later on rather than now.
