Wait, did none of them knew that Kuro's a boy? Cause it looks like everyone's been treating Kuro as a girl, and he seems to be not aware of that.
Tho it might be partly due to the gender prounoun... Asian languages seem to allow for a gender neutral that is a bit weirder to say in English... and as a result a translator “guesses” based on various factors...
Kuro is supposed to be a goddesses retainer, is “Loli”, and is “cute” thus must be the feminine...
I’ve yet to ask a translator to check the Japanese used in previous places for “her”... not sure it’s worth the bother as from the pages it feels like that’s what the mangaka A’s gearing up for here anyways...

Looking at this chapter's raws, i don't think Kuro's gender is explicitly pointed out by either Shiro or Eru (as much as my kanji deciphering skills and minuscule knowledge of Japanese allow). Closest was Eru's "Ayatsu" but it could mean "he" as well as "she". It might turn out that Eru and Shiro were actually aware of that.
