Yeah exactly, from his point of view the facts are:

• She treated him really badly on that date where she had that “bored” comment
• After that date she’s been mostly dodging him and bailing at the last minute when they have plans. This goes on for nearly 6 months
• He catches her walking literally snuggled arm-in-arm with another man. They’re holding hands with fingers intertwined, which is usually only what lovers do. They’re smiling and blushing at each other.

Based on that, he would be thinking they’re on the way to a love hotel and not for the first time either. Remember she’s been acting shady for months by now.

Is she? She's been in love with dude for a minute and she's part of the mess lol. Interested in her bestie but not willing to commit to pursue him. She ain't getting caught up in shit as bad as Reina, but she pretty much friendzoned herself.

It's really this simple. MC absolutely should have communicated better like asking Reina why she said shit was boring on the date and left abruptly, or bring up to her that he saw her with another dude. But communication issues is something they both shared fault for (like Reina not even bothering to explain why she suddenly ended their date and rudely called what he was doing boring). She was rude when she ended their date and chose to just go home immediately. She chose to avoid him for 6 months. She was out there getting physically intimate with another dude right outside MC's house while still being MC's girlfriend.

What more does he need to see? Compare how she was acting with that guy with her behaviour on their date and it paints a clear picture.

She says it a few times - one over the phone and again in person. Can't remember the exact chapter numbers but both involve the MC meeting with the glasses girl who is acting like a mediator between the two.

Went back and it was in Ch 12 and 17.

As said below, I don't think there is a scene where Reina says she didn't cheat before the breakup. She only says it afterwards.

I don't know about the confrontation one, but she saying she didn't cheat was way after the break-up, so maybe she found out about what MC was thinking by a third party.

They need to stay broken up. The trust is gone already. Tbh their relationship didn’t even seem that good even when it was going well.

It also makes little sense why any of the 3 gorgeous girls (ex, friend, kouhai) he’s been involved with stuck around. He’s not even that nice to them, let alone considering his mediocre looks, money, and intelligence. Generally speaking he takes people for granted.

Reina, well she’s a different kind of shit show of her own.

To be honest, the guy's entirely justified in reaching this conclusion, and honestly after 6 months of avoidance, this isn't really a communication issue anymore, the relationship was for all intents and purposes over.

MC still was making an effort to salvage it until the breaking point which was seeing her, in front of his house, entwined with a different man. There isn't a single reasonable line of thought here that could lead to a different conclusion.

Hell after 3 months of being avoided he should have already broken up with her, these are months not a day, not a few weeks.

The thing I actually want to know is a story explanation of why on earth Reina, Shinohara, Ayaka and short hair glasses girl ever felt attracted to this guy in the first place. Will there be a reveal of how he's insanely rich or a global celebrity to justify such affection to someone unable to hold polite conversation? Does he have political connections?
Love or hate Reina (and I'm firmly in the hate camp), being bored of this MC is easily the most reasonable thing in the entire story

Maybe wasn't any cheating at all and it was some weird misunderstanding, I mean, who decides to cheat in front of her partner house? Dude didn't say anything about why they are breaking up, so maybe she just thought he got bored of her, or that he decided to leave her and get with his friend, the relationship had problems on both sides and no one is talking to the other about it, so each can have their own headcanon to why they are breaking up

Even if it wasnt cheating, that fact she didnt even try to put up a fight shows how little she actually cared about their relationship.
At least that was my stance before this chapter, now? Now shes 100% guilty, and im not gonna bother hearing any arguments against it.
Again, even if she wasn't cheating, and considering what we have seen now, thats a REALLY big if, shes still the one that made their relationship awkward, avoided him on purpose, and fucked things up.
So yeah, my new stance now is "good riddance".

I mean, it's pretty clear that the manga is detached from reality, and it's most likely another wish fullfilment story. But then what romance manga isn't? It's obvious that at the end of the day the mc has realistcally little to offer, especially compared to ayaka and the kouhai. But that's not what people are opening this manga for.
